Yeah it's pathetic.
It's funny how these drug manufacturers act like they've got the
brain figured out. Sure, no prob, you just need to boost your
serotonin levels. The entire SSRI class of drugs was probably
created after early studies of LSD. Actually there's no real
evidence boosting serotonin levels is healthy.

I remember when I was a kid in the 70's seeing lots of ads for
aspirin, tylenol and prep-h. Those were bad enough. The new
breed of drug ads are even worse. I luv it when the announcer
rapidly reads off a list of 30 possible (nasty) side-effects for a
given drug at the very end of the commercial. Anyone remember
those fat-free chips cooked with 'olestra' that were marketed in
the 90's? At the end of the commercial the announcer warned
eating too many may cause 'gas with oily discharge'! Yikes. I
seem to recall those weren't on the market for long.
It's all bullshit, and now the US gov. is trying to introduce the
'codex' legislation which would put strict limits the amounts of
vitamins one could purchase (like, no vitamin C over 200 mg)
and ban most supplements. Soon the prisons will be overflowing
(like they're not already) with vitamin c pushers, in addition the
usual druggies and murders.
Putting the 'D' in dysfunction.
