Book Of Virtues

Unread postby PenultimateManStanding » Thu 01 Jun 2006, 19:36:22

I know William Bennett, the frozen gambler, wrote a book with this title. Here are some offerings to the PO Book Of Virtues:

It's OK to be a clown, it's not OK to be petty

A stained shirt is a vice, but a torn shirt is a virtue

How about this:

It's Ok to be stupid, but stupid to think you're Ok.
smoke 2 joints in the mornin'/smoke 2 joints at night
smoke 2 joints in the afternoon it makes me feel alright
I smoke 2 joints in time of peace and 2 in time of war
I smoke 2 joints before I smoke 2 joints and then I smoke 2 more - sublime

What if I'm a petty clown in a stained and torn shirt?

I'd still love you anyway! How about this one from doly:

"We are in a sinking ship, there's no point in squabbling about favorite colors."

Name me someone that's not a parasite and I'll go out and say a prayer for him.

Jesus Christ. But he doesn't need your feeble prayers....

OK, fair enough. make it, name me somebody that's not a parasite born after, say, 1906, etc. Seriously if you don't enjoy the little anarchist act, don't tune in to the show. I got the line from holmes who picked it up from a song.

You got me there. We are all major fuck-ups! What I really find challenging to deal with are the folks that still think they have their act together, and everyone else is fuck-up. I think that is why we are in the sutuation we are in. Lack of humility....

I don't think that you have understood what I've been doing in this forum. I don't think you understand what it means to have no religious faith like you evidently do. Meanings are rare and valuable, and not to be taken for granted. A Christian feels comfortable in knowing the Christian Mysteries and must have a secure sense of the meaning of it all. A non-believer is on his own, to find or not find meaning.
