Here's an interesting idea...

The Multiverse theory is accepted by many, many scientist, as it is able to explain many different concepts, and unify them. Many things don't make sense if the multiverse theory weren't true, but everything seems to fall into place if it is.

Anyway, I was thinking that it may be possible to travel to another parallel universe.

According to what I've read, Einstein said it would take 1019 Gev(billion electron volts) to open a wormhole to another dimension.

I have an idea on how to directly manipulate and control gravity, but I don't want to post it here. It's actually relatively simple, if you know anything about QM.

So I was thinking, presupposing that the multiverse theory is correct, do you think it would be viable to travel to other dimensions to escape the coming destruction of our world?

Why would we assume it would be better, or even viable at all, in a parallel universe?

I think Einstein speculated that a wormhole could be a way into another universe, not into another dimension.

One interesting theory is that black holes could be sucking energy from one universe to another. The "other end" of the black hole in universe 1 would then be a quasar in universe 2. Black holes consume enourmous amounts of energy. Where does it go?

Another theory is that black holes could give birth to a new universe. Mass and energy can be created from nothing if I understand it correctly. (Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) There could therefore be an endless number of universes. If then every universe had a few black holes of the right calibre, able to create a new universe, well...

Wiki: A quasar (contraction of QUASi-stellAR radio source) is an astronomical source of electromagnetic energy, including light, that dwarfs the energy output of the brightest stars. A quasar may readily release energy in levels equal to the output of hundreds of average galaxies combined.

Cool huh?

Well said. It would be interesting though, like if they had less or more hydrocarbon energy than us, how it might have affected the outcome.

Less doomers perhaps?

If we make contact with another parallel Universe(by the way say dimension, because that's what most people think when you say dimension, I know the actual term is brane, but I don't think most people know that brane = parallel universe plane of existence) then we could team up with the scientist there, and have like a transdimensional technology exchange.

Kind of like the idea for the quantum computer(well almost identical).

In the quantum computer, the idea is, you process information in multiple dimensions, connecting with multiple computers, then they all share the information.

Due to the fact they are almost all parallel in almost every way, then the information is pretty much valid for each one of them.

Reminds me of the Simpson's episode where Homer kept going into parallel universes. He goes into one and asks for a doughnut - Bart says "what's a doughnut?" Homer goes aaaargh and promptly exits that universe. Meanwhile it starts to rain in the universe he has just left and guess what - It's raining doughnuts.

I like the thought though that in one of the infinite universes out there with infinite possibilites, I am currently being gently massaged by 24 Jenna Jameson's while watching the Irish soccer team beat England 18 nil in the world cup final.

Yes, but in another universe you're being fist fucked by Mike Tyson while Ireland has its population replaced by Tony Blair clones...

Don't play with quantum mechanics unless you know exactly what you're doing...

The mental image this conjured up nearly made me drop my guinness.
