Hey that's the way to get a good point across, insult people who you disagree with. That always works.

Though I have to admit I somewhat agree with that assessment!
Yes, I hear you and agree with you. When one generalizes, one is wrong more often than not; however, I have never seen such a blatant disregard for logic and reason on that kind of scale in my entire life (plus my parents are retired teachers here in Ohio and I don't even want to get into that) and I am more than a little pissed about it.
The kicker is that Shrub broke two fundamental Republican rules: small government and limited government spending. Not only did he break those rules, he unequivocally shattered them. One cannot argue those two points - he is guilty of it, period. If the average American were to pull that kind of crap with their credit card, checking account, lease, or mortgage, any bank in this country would pull the plug on them ASAP.
He's done it in less than four years and the American public shouldn't have given him the privilege of serving us for another term. What happened yesterday was the act of pure lunacy and it reminds me of what pre-WWII Germany had to have been like. Anyone who can't see the pure nationalistic attitudes coming forth right now is either brain dead or too medicated to care. Franklin said that people so eager to give up personal liberty and freedoms for the sake of temporary safety deserve neither. 51% of the voting population don't deserve liberty or freedoms in my opinion.
One thing that history has shown us is that constant war and nationalism leading to Imperialism will not last. The Romans couldn't do it and neither will America.
There is no doubt in my mind that he's going to bankrupt America and break her back in the process during the next four years.
Funny how that's the same thing Osama bin Laden wants and he has admitted that in his most recent tape. Who is the real enemy here? Seems to me that Shrub and OBL are on the same page with 51% of Americans giving the green light to do it, and we're all going to get sucked into the shitstorm as well thanks to these imbeciles.
So, yes I'm extremely pissed. Would Kerry do a better job? Who knows, but we've seen the Shrub's song and dance and look where it's gotten us. Anyone with some brains knows that our election is a farce but dammit, the American people are making it easier for the people controlling things to systematically control and destroy them. The people with the most to lose seem to be the ones accelerating their own demise. Doesn't make a lick of sense.
I'm pissed at my fellow Ohioans and pissed at my fellow Americans for that matter so I'm getting my rage off my chest at the close-minded simpletons that my parents tried to educate their entire adult lives. I had to grow up around those idiots. Not all were idiots but the majority were. Looks like a pattern developing, no?
I've disagreed with some of the things you've posted on this site but I don't think you're stupid........we may disagree but at least we're both trying to rationalize things. I agree with a lot of what you say and for that I think we're a step ahead of everyone else (along with everyone on this site).
What I saw yesterday was the destruction of the Constitution and I hate it. I still love my country very much. Enough to question the policies of our government officials. That's called being a patriotic citizen. It's every citizen's duty to do that. After all, they work for us.......although does it really seem like that anymore?
What I saw yesterday was 51% of the voting population willingly turn into subjects, not citizens, and for that, Europe and the rest of the world are going to turn their backs to us........and rightly so.
The American public, thanks to 51% of it, is going to get everything it deserves.
End of sermon (pun especially intended).
