As far as public policy, national aims, and federal legislation goes, an election does not amount to a hill of beans. Whichever candidate gets elected, the country's course has been predetermined by international bankers and their media mogul allies. Let's also not forget that Bush is willing to run the country's budget into the ground, and let however many Americans he wants to die in Iraq until the conflict is over. He also lies about the reasons for the Iraq war and avoids the real issues like the deficit and environment.

I think there will be some hens coming back to roost in the next couple years. The tax cuts have worked their way through the system and that stimulus is gone. The housing market has likely peaked: refinance consumption has therefore also largely peaked. Higher oil costs will work their way through the economy. And Iraq continues to melt down. Oh, and unfortunately, some of those high explosives that have gone AWOL in Iraq will show up in some expected places.

All under President AWOLs watch. Couldn't happen to a better guy.
