That you can betray your brothers-in-arms, change your position on EVERYTHING DAILY, do NOTHING of consequence in 19 years in political office, shelter your millions to the tune of a below "low income" tax rate of 12.8%, vote to increase taxes ACROSS THE BOARD at every turn, vote to take guns whenever possible, and give a shitty acting performance as a "regular joe" and STILL be considered a contender to lead our country......

I am very sad that these are the facts.

And 58,000,000 Americans have just confirmed that you can be a complete dumbass, draft-dodging, former drunk/cokehead moron who has continuously lied in the leading of this country, spouts off pseudo-Chrisitian drivel to please the masses and whose direct actions have resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people and still be elected president of the USA.

Anyway the Republicans won, so why the sadness? Do you honestly think Bush and company could fool everyone with their BS?

Ok, I'm really not sad. Not even a tiny itty bitty bit. This fall has been like one big Christmas!
We have the Senate. We have the House. We have the Presidency. And the icing on the cake is the expiration of the AWB.
Its a good day to wake up in a (still!) free America!

Fellows! Fellows! It didn't matter who won. Except for deciding which face you will see smirking at you during the coming months. As far as public policy, national aims, and federal legislation goes, an election does not amount to a hill of beans. Whichever candidate gets elected, the country's course has been predetermined by international bankers and their media mogul allies. We plebian voters only get to change the actors on the political stage: we are not allowed to change the script of the play.

So fighting over the outcome of an election is among the sillier ways to waste time.

Thats not entirely true. I'll point to the original AWB as a perfect example. Its was a Demcocrat controlled government, the AWB passed, come election time they got RAPED. Something like 50 members were voted out in favor of their competition.
Who we vote for does matter.

Dang...

Here I am agreeing with Jenab...

The US President is a powerful position to be sure, but nothing compared to the money guys.

Michael Jordan is NOT rich. Neither is Tiger Woods.

The guy that signs their paychecks... he is rich.

And that is the real power hand in this equation IMO.
The problem is, of course, that not only is economics bankrupt, but it has always been nothing more than politics in disguise... economics is a form of brain damage.

And 5.941.000.000 still think he's a moron.

I do not agree with Jenab. Why voters don't choose an independent?
Because, like voters, like leaders. People do have a choice.
But people choose not to choose, because it is just oh... so convenient...
to sit with their mouths agape and fed with shit.

Remember, only half of the US eligible voter did vote.

The rest just did not give a shit.

Those with money are raping those without money because the
ones without money actually like to get raped. Which is aparent
from yesterday's election.

Well, then, just lay back, and enjoy the fuck. It's your fault.
And don't complain.

Cheers,

Let's also not forget that Bush is willing to run the country's budget into the ground, and let however many Americans he wants to die in Iraq until the conflict is over. He also lies about the reasons for the Iraq war and avoids the real issues like the deficit and environment.

Nope, I didn't give a shit. I didn't like the choices the power brokers gave us 4 years ago (which is why I voted for Nader), and I didn't like them this time (which is why I didn't bother to vote). Besides, in both cases (4 years ago and now), I lived in solidly Republikan states that went easily to Shrub, so my vote wouldn't have counted anyway.

Personally, I would have submitted a write-in vote for Tom Tancredo, representative from Colorado. He's the only politico I've ever heard say that we should actually start enforcing the law and stopping illegal immigration. There is hope, not much, but it exists.

1. The Americans got exactly what they deserved.

2. The Republicans now control the presidency, the House and the Senate ... therefore THEY will be held responsible for PeakOil.

3. The curve just got sharper.

The ONLY difference between the two parties is that there was a higher likelihood of the Dems recognizing PO and making an ineffectual stab towards a soft landing. The Shrub will use his patented cluelessness and unwillingness to even acknowledge reality to drive the USA right off a cliff. The first time most Americans will hear of PeakOil will be when martial law is declared and they are rounded up for the camps.

4. The Americans got exactly what they deserved.

We? Specop, are you a multimillionaire, skull and bonesman? Did you go to Yale and subsequently Harvard? That is the company you claim kinship with. Bush, who passes himself off as a common man with a speech impediment, is actually a rich boy who has led a very privileged life. You are nothing more than a minion to them and the rest of the Illuminati.

Get ready for the shit, it's going to hit the fan. Actually, I agree with Aaron, either red or blue has the same problems. The sinking dollar is the biggest. I'm interested in how Bush will handle that.

Dude, you've had some really fucking brilliant posts before, but this one takes the cake.

You're happy that there will be four more years of polluting the environment and specifically NOT addressing the PO issue? Man, you've got your priorities out of whack. I'm not saying Kerry would have addressed the issue but we've seen what Shrub has done for the past four years...........and that amounts to nothing regarding the PO issue.

Hey Khebab,

Bush does have a 3 digit IQ. It's just that the digits are after a decimal point.

At least now we can be assured that the West will go down with all guns blazing.

I think there will be some hens coming back to roost in the next couple years. The tax cuts have worked their way through the system and that stimulus is gone. The housing market has likely peaked: refinance consumption has therefore also largely peaked. Higher oil costs will work their way through the economy. And Iraq continues to melt down. Oh, and unfortunately, some of those high explosives that have gone AWOL in Iraq will show up in some expected places.

All under President AWOLs watch. Couldn't happen to a better guy.
