$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('energyaddict', '2')004 BMW 320 diesel automatic, purchased in 2005

What is a 320? In the United States we only have the BMW 325 and 330 for sale.

Is the 320 four or six cylinder?

We have a y-2k Nissan 2 litre Primera Estate. Quite a big car for Europe but then we have a big family ;o)

Current plans are to run the car for as long as possible and then junk it - we'll shift onto horses.

My wife is taking riding lessons & the aim is to do a gradual phase-in between the two over the next 3/4 years. Right now I can buy a young cart-horse for a couple of thousand Euros & 2 or 3 of those will see us through the next 20 years, no problem.

Call me crazy if you like, but these are our current plans ;o)

I have a 1990 model honda car. It is in poor condition and I have not maintained it well, it gets about 25mpg. I have not spent any money on this car over the last few years except for oil changes. I only spend $15 on fuel per week, so I'm not concerned about it's efficency. When the car finally fails, I will just dump it and buy a compact car like a Daihatsu Midget II which gets 70-80mpg and they are pretty cheap too, just afew thousand secondhand I believe.

From the age of 18 I lived in Toronto mostly, went to college and just stayed. No need to get a car, never got one. Took public transit or rode my bike everywhere. best way to get around Toronto. I live in a smaller city of Chatham, Ontario, where most people want you to drive a car, but it is not needed for everyday chores. I get rides with my girlfriend and chip in for gas when we need to drive somewhere. I fix bicycles so I have about 50 or so in parts and frames. I guess you could say I get 100 miles per gallon of water.:)

Vmoto Milan 50cc scooter [which is sold in the US as the Venice], 90MPG. Bought 1 1/2 years ago when I was not even a little PO aware: I've always hated cars [cages ;)] and used to have a 250CC standard Suzuki, but loved the idea of buying a new scooter and being able to zip through traffic [and it sure does!]. I try to ride it only when I have to now though, and cycle at least 2-3 days a week to work, cos I need the exercise... ^_^

I drive a '96 Corvette every day. Highway in 6th gear: 28 mpg. Around town, ~22.

For fun, we have a '57 chevy wagon that gets around 22 on the highway (stick) and we have a '61 chevy impala (auto) that gets about 18 mpg. Neither of these cars sees more than 500 miles a year.

Here are some pics:

2006 Civic EX. So far, mostly city driving mixed with stop-and-go freeway, I'm getting about 34 MPG. Marvelous little machine.

I don't have a car, but if I'm in the suburbs with my family, then I take my dad's 2000 Honda Civic. ~33mpg, otherwise I walk and get about 10000000000000 mpg. :P
