I'll give the stock market 6-9 months of life then.

Some scary stuff in there. The articles are not about gouging but about code speak for peak oil without actualy saying it.

Wow ...

Business Week readers are not dumbos ... that peak oil supply graph will trigger a few to make investment changes.

This will then result in a major market swing as the sheep follow.

This info is getting out there rather quickly ....

Their chart seems to call for PO in 2007. In BusinessWeek!

Look what is happening to gold. I saw an interview with a Wall Street pundit a couple of weeks ago who dismissed the uptick in gold as a fad. Goes to show that most of these guys are clueless about what is causing the "fad."

I think the big players are telling each other to get out but they can't safely exit the market if everyone knows they are leaving. They need to unload their halucinated wealth onto the average joe and the ingnorante hype invester. The message is get out of tech, get out of retail, get out of autos, get out of heavy industries and durable goods makers, get out of banks and load up energy and precious metals. When the fall comes it will be the average joe and his 401k that will be slaughered not the big guys. Don't suffer the fate of average Merkin. You know as much if not more then the big guys for we are the PO aware. Take action now to protect yourself.

It looks like the 2007 peak in the BusinessWeek chart is just for the major oil companies - I don't think it includes production by countries.

To be honest it probably doesn't matter ... the effect will be the same to Joe Public.

Oil is just on $70 flat after dipping slightly below it from a high of $75. I feel there will be an oil price crash becaus so much media attention that oil prices are high and that they suggesting they are going higher has already got alot of people to jump on the bandwagon, and I read an interview in the finacial review paper of a fund manger saying that everybody/his clients wants to get into gold. I think $75 will be the top in oil for quite some time now along with $700 gold. Gold won't pass much more than that and will fall when oil prices come down. Silver has been unable to break past $14 again after the 14.50 high reached afew weeks ago. Alot of funds have been pushing up the prices of these, they sent copper from 2.3 to 3.25 in just afew weeks, but unlike you or I who buy and hold gold or silver, they buy contracts but don't take delivery having to quickly sell the order before the end of the month to avoid taking delivery.

Gold and Silver have alot going for them, but when/if oil goes down into the mid 60's and below, gold and silver will drop as well.

How can there be an oil "price crash" when there is such enormous demand from places such as China?

Please explain. Thanks.

because people dont think long term. there is a lot of speculation in the market. if a few large projects come on stream soon the slight shift in balance could result in a large temporary downswing.
