For those that dont know, truck tires sometimes fall off. Its actually a bit more common then you would think. More often they lose the tread, but on occasion they lose the whole schebang.
And yes, there have been traffic fatalities from tires coming off, hitting a bump or curb and going airborne into the oncoming traffic and smashing into someone.

PMS,

If 'Spec' starts typing using proper grammar we'll be suspicious someone else is doing his writing for him. If his postings are garbled as usual we all know it's really from him!! :-D

I've noticed that Spec often uses the misspelling "definately" in his posts which is, I must say, quite irksome.

Spec, for once and for all, it's "definitely".

Therein lies the beauty of minor errors in ones grammer.
I can get under you're skin without directly addressing you.

And thats definately cool.

It's like those tires were radar-guided or something. They caught him dead-center. How do you calculate the odds of being in the wrong place at the wrong time quite like that particular case?

At least he got "lucky" and was hit in the back. If they had hit him in the side or front, he's kneecaps would be around his ankles.

Course I'd be amazed if he still didnt end up with some broken bones. He got hit HARD and those tires arent light, especially when you throw in the weight of the rims.

Definately not going to buff right out.

Here's what I think it is, eastbay, spec has verbal dyslexia and finds it irksome to try and get this stuff straight. Too much effort. A common condition among the younger bunch, not to paint with too broad a brush.

If he was standing the other way he could had seen them coming, and dodged the tires. They couldn't have been going THAT fast...

Looks can be deceiving. That tire was probably going at 30-35 miles per hour. Plus he was in a confined space, making it tough to move and that tire had his number.
