Car, you were the funnest vehicle I ever had.
Car, you were mostly reliable.
Car, you moved me.
Bye Car.

Things I did in my car,

1. Mediate
2. Think up crazy ideas
3. Eat
4. Take naps
5. Drive around in the rain.
6. Get Groceries
7. Pick up and deliver friends
8. Sit on the roof and watch the stars/planes land
9. Take the ferry to a new land
10. Take my cats to vet in an emergency
11. Kiss +
12. Listen to music
13. Sing at the top of my lungs & talk back to the radio
14. Swear at people *blush*
15. Take my canoe to far off lakes and paddle around
16. Drive fast
17. Take road trips
18. Like the smell of gas
19. Get the wind in my hair
20. Grill sausages
21. Write cheques
22. Outrun my friends
23. Carry my crap around
24. I could go anywhere
25. Leave the world behind

I know. I'm still grieving.

Seriously, I do.

Does nobody else love their car too and want to leave a little note for it?

You know that many of the things you just mentioned you can continue to do for decades without burning a drop of petroleum. Your car isn't going away. It's just become a stationary car. :-D

Hey, that's true! I didn't think of that - thanks :) I just have to park it in the right spot. Maybe we'll see cars turn into horse-drawn carrigages.

Yeah, I often find myself trying to picture what the future world is gonna look like. There will be a lot of abandoned vehicles on the road wherever they ran out of gas for good. LOL!

Hey all those people that can't pay for their McMansions anymore can sleep in their SUV's. Hey I guess the size of SUV's is good for something then. More comfortable than sleeping in a small car like mine.

Hemp biofuel could work as a replacement fuel for petroleum. Hemp requires little fertilizer and pesticides, and it has many other beneficial uses as well, just like oil. It makes other products, rather than just electricity.

However, the EROEI for biofuels is rather low, so on a global economic scale, it would not be as efficient as petroleum. If I'm correct, I think biofuel EROEI is about 3 or something. But, if the biofuels were made on a small-scale basis (for localized economies), then it could work on a small-scale.

Problem is, though, there may be a bit of challenge to move from a globalized economy to more local economies.

You know it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you!
The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.
