$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('TheTurtle', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Schweinshaxe', '')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('smallpoxgirl', 'S')o I gotta ask, Schweinsaxe, Lokutus, where are you guys getting your avatars? Mugshot.com? It's creepy. I feel like I'm looking at a police lineup.

That's actually for me to know and for you to find out...

Hint: JFK...

I actually like this one even better than your previous one, Schwein. I can imagine this guy is you and I can see myself sitting down and sharing a beer with you. But when I looked at the picture of Kurt G. I was just overwhelmed by feelings of my own mathematical incompetencies.

I'll switch back on Monday. I'm just celebrating a Goedel free weekend here...

Unless SPG can find out who it is... Then I might change my avatar again to something completely different. I'm just that kinda guy.

Can I take a guess on SPG's behalf (actually, it wouldn't be a guess, since I actually know). I can't stand the thought of Goedel's heartless gaze mocking me each time I read one of your posts. 8O

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Schweinshaxe', 'G')o ahead my friend!

Well, I don't want to spoil SPG's fun, but if it will give us another Goedel-free week, I'll drop a few hints:

1. He suffered from alopecia, which caused all the hair on his body to fall out (hence the penciled on eyebrows).
2. He lived in NOLA.
3. He was at one time a pilot for a major US airline.
4. He ran guns for Castro before Castro took over Cuba.
5. He was probably instrumental in JFK's assasination.
6. His initials are DWF.

Am I close? :P

Mine is an actual mugshot. As soon as I saw I knew that it would come in handy some day.
What will arrive first? Peak Oil or the Second Coming? My money is now on the latter.

Bless you! :-D

Could I put in a request that you use a properly sized version of that Pat Boone picture you posted on another thread?

I never realized what a good looking guy Pat was in his day ... 8)

Pat Boone is evil! Stay away from him!

My next avatar will be from an experiment I'm doing. I try to take pictures of sound. I have a picture from a sound recording of an incident where a school bus was stuck in 34 centimetres of snow.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Schweinshaxe', 'a') school bus was stuck in 34 centimetres of snow.

34cm??? How many furlongs is that?

You should use my picture. You'd like this guy.

I'll give you a couple of hints.

1. He was born in Germany.
2. He was spent two years in a Nazi prison camp.
3. Margaret Sanger managed to bail him out from the Germans and he spent the rest of his life in the US.
4. His first name is Ernst, but you can just call him Dr. G.

Hey, it was your picture! :P

On a totally unrelated topic: In looking over at your current avatar, I just realized that you and I have made exactly the same number of posts (447) and, coincidentally, we appear to have joined PO. com within just about 2 weeks of each other.

What a wonderful website PO.com is that it can bring together a Northern European living in Germany and the descendent of Northern Europeans living in the USA to debate not only the future of life as we know it. but also the virtue (or lack thereof) of Pat Boone. :)

Of course, I just realized that by making this post I now have 448 posts to your 447, so the synergy is now totally destroyed and this entire post is utterly meaningless ... nevermind!

Hmm... We are definitely in the fifties here. A physician writing something. A prescription maybe. Yes it's a prescription for a new wonder drug that will cure advanced cases of toe jam. Wait! There's something wrong here... There's something wrong with his ears... It's an Englishman! It's not a physician, it's a veterinarian!

OK my guess is that it's the Liverpool FC football player Kevin Keegan. I know it doesn't make sense but I cant come up with anything better than that...

You're on fire today Turtle. Indeed. That is Ernst Graffenberg. In Germany he invented the first workable intrauterine contraceptive device known as the G-Ring. After his immigration to America he worked mostly as a sexologist. He is probably best known for his discovery of a highly inervated area of the anterior vaginal wall known as the Graffenburg spot or G-spot.

Well, Google tells me that his name was Ernst Rüdin and that American Sanger gal was a KKK member.

Jesas SPG! I may live in Germany but that doesn't automatically make me a nazi. I'm a fucking Swede! I come from Sweden (not Switzerland). You know, the land of the olympic ice hockey gold medalists...
