reading the article it appears that they are somehow controlling the magnetic flux from the permanent magnets to direct it to where it's most useful. I have no idea how they could do this but if it works it would definetly help. I've been reading about making PM generators lately and how the flux works is a major component of the power output. Very little other then a big thick hunk of steel is used to manage the flux. I don't know enough about electro magnetism to know how they could actively control the flux though.

Over 100% efficiency? Can you say "perpetual motion machine"

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Texas_T', 'O')ver 100% efficiency? Can you say "perpetual motion machine"

The actual article claims nothing about efficiency numbers from the designer, the editor just makes a comment about over 100%. Seeing that the site is full of PMM nuts I wouldn't use it as a guide to the motor.

There are dozens of "over unity" or whatever sites about electric motors that magically create energy.

My favorite is the Lutec. It's entertaining to go into the Wayback machine (internet archive) and watch this part of the FAQ (looks like they haven't updated the "when can I buy one" date in a while) get constantly moved ahead:

1) Can I buy one?

A. Not yet, we are still developing the first pre-production model. We anticipate the first products to be available for purchase by the end of 2005.

... and I like the 'lab'... particularly the $3.87 table and nothing else in the room... lol. It's a scam IMO.
