Global Systemic Rupture

Unread postby airstrip1 » Mon 20 Feb 2006, 17:44:31

LEAP/E2020's researchers and analysts thus identified 7 convergent crises that the American and Iranian decisions coming into effect during the last week of March 2006, will catalyse and turn into a total crisis, affecting the whole planet in the political, economic and financial fields, as well as in the military field most probably too:

1. Crisis of confidence in the Dollar
2. Crisis of US financial imbalances
3. Oil crisis
4. Crisis of the American leadership
5. Crisis of the Arabo-Muslim world
6. Global governance crisis
7. European governance crisis

The entire process of anticipation of this crisis will be described in detail in the coming issues of LEAP/E2020’s confidential letter – the GlobalEurope Anticipation Bulletin, and in particular in the 2nd issue to be released on February 16, 2006. These coming issues will present the detailed analysis of each of the 7 crises, together with a large set of recommendations intended for various categories of players (governments and companies, namely), as well as with a number of operational and strategic advices for the European Union.
...

However, and in order not to limit this information to decision makers solely, LEAP/E2020 has decided to circulate widely this official statement together with the following series of arguments resulting from work conducted.

It's like waiting for a bus then three all turn up at once. But in this case they are not buses and there are seven of them.

The lunatic christian fringe will be annoyed that they mispelt Rapture though, but at least it has the theme of seven running through it.

Who is this group making this forecast? Anyone know anything about them? Do they have any credibility? If its my next door neighbor, please disregard the prediction. He's a cook.

I like it when they paint the date on thier "End of the World" sign. It never happens, but it can be fun to watch the buildup. It sort of reminds me of someone lighting the fuse on some fireworks, everyone runs for cover, and then a fizzle.

According to their site they are some sort of European Think Tank based in France. I think the rather grating prose style is due to a rather clunky translation from the original French. Of course they could all be secret Bilderbergers, Illuminati, Masons, Templars, Members of the Priory of Zion, extra-terrestial lizard people etc. Whatever their motives they have certainly learnt how to rachet up the doomerosity scale.

Scary! Sounds like it may be a bad time for everybody. How is it in anyone's best interest to tip the whole world's economy now? Well we'll see what happens. I will be very aware around March 20-26th. I always take these predictions with a grain of salt, but this one sounds plausible.

All paranoid delusions are based on a partial truth, hence plausible. However, there is a substantial difference between possibilities and probabilities.

All the things mentioned are ongoing problems, the partial truth. The likehood that they will all converge in March into somesort of a megacrisis is improbable, and if so, they will just be a little blip and not the end of the world. Shock events happen, pass, and are mostly written into the history books as footnotes.

This March is not worth getting your tits in a twitter over.

Well if things are going to hell in a handbasket I'd prefer them to happen in early spring compaired to late fall or winter. I can have the whole summer to figure out what I'm going to do this winter while I munch on whatever is growing outside. Much better then finding out in December that my life savings will buy me a pack of mister noodles but if I want to get to the store I'm walking in the snow.
shame on us, doomed from the start
god have mercy on our dirty little hearts

"Global Systemic Rupture" -- That just sounds so delightfully... doomey. 8)
Lord, here comes the flood
We'll say goodbye to flesh and blood
If again the seas are silent in any still alive
It'll be those who gave their island to survive...
