All seems a bit like saying instead of 'run from there to over there' to give a description of the various synaptic transfers and chemicals passed thru them and brainwave patterns required in order to run at all in a human body.........

I'd have just put it like this -

while it will be great when we start flying out to Jupiter and the like, there ain't no point in thinking about such things as solutions, because we have to prove we can run our society in harmony with a basic planet like this one first before we can transfer that outwith here.

That type of space travel is waaaay too cumbersome and energy wasting to take out into space much - Hollywood has hinted at the 'stargate' but who will listen?

Imagine knowing exactly how spacetime works, so you could open a door in one part of space, which then overcomes the time-distance of travel between that and another part of space, so the travel time is reduced to about zilch - that is real time travel and that is it's true application, it's for overcoming distance.

It is imperative to remain aware that we don't know how spacetime works, or we'd have working 'stargates' instead of airports. So we don't know anything about our universe.

They are called stargates because they are artificial stars, it's one of those hint things that artists and popular culture throw in, sometimes unawares.

in this case it needs to be pulsed, and transmitting - whatvever the containment of the field is is the 'door' outer...

there's a standing field of a continous frequency (not likely to be a single tone),

there's a spin clockwise, there's a spin anti-clockwise -

( and the ratios of those to one another ),

does any of this sound familiar to anyone?

.....the other 'door' will be linked toroid like, and diode-like - ie - so that there can be no error in (a) transmission between points (place), (b) direction of transportation.

This of course can be tilted 90 degrees and 'doubled up' - so both doors are part of the same craft
