No, that's dangerous stuff. See what it did to Rush? But didn't I read that half the country's on meds of some kind?

If I had to spend several hours a day spewing total camel dung about politics the way Limbaugh does, I'd also have to take pain killers.

Yes, what a birthday he will have. After shagging CNN's Daryn Kagan (his current domestic partner) Rush will go on air to rail about the "Librul" media again.

Rush Limbaugh Transcript

Postby PrairieMule » Fri 24 Feb 2006, 17:55:05

My head just about exploded when I read this: [url=http://prisonplanet.com/articles/february2006/240206_b_Limbaugh.htmlink[/url]

If this were the Clinton administration he would have hit them with both barrels. Wait, I remember in the late 90's he did when China got missle technology that had dual applications from Martin-Marietta. link

I'll just cut to the chase of this article. "Most Americans still don’t know that Bill Clinton authorized the transfer of America’s most guarded national secrets, including nuclear weapons and ballistic missile technology, to China – as Chinese cash filled his 1996 campaign coffers. These facts barely rated media time. Only Rush in the major media consistently held Clinton accountable. But Rush was that lone Marine. The rest of the media should have been doing their job."

This is from Newsmax not Moveon.org. I fear the nuclear payload that could be delivered in shipping container more than a Chinese missle that at least be picked up by NORAD. To bad he doesn't.

R. L. must be the most boring Expletive deleted. I've ever heard talking. Thanks to the AFN network, We can listen to American talk radio here in Germany.

Thanks to AFN, I've discovered NPR. I'm a far right wing libertarian (not a corporate socialist, just to make things clear...) but I have to say that NPR is the best thing I've ever heard on radio in my life. Rush is only pathetic.

You can listen to the broadcast all over Europe since it's a 50 KW transmission. 873 KHz. Daily schedule, UTC:

17.00 - Rush Limburger (pathetic)
18.00 - Dr Laura (Well...)
18.45 - ABC, Paul Harvey - "Stand by for neeeeews..."
19.00 - NPR, Talk of the Nation (Normally very interesting, always very well done)
21.00 - NPR, All Things Considered (A bit slow and "academic" but good. Kind of a daily news analysis)

Specials:
Fridays, 19.00 - NPR, Talk of the Nation - Science Friday (Amazing..)
Sundays, 16.00 - NPR, Justice Talking (Librul, but worth hearing)

Europeans: Tune in, turn on and drop out... It's a Expletive deleted. order! 873 KHz, Middle Wave. Link: NPR

Not sure what's made him change. He obviously Neocon but would on occasion blister the likes of Newt Gingrich and asked tough questions to George H.Bush in a 1992 inteview before the election.

Stay away from Dr.Laura. Not a huge fan of NPR but they do have a good show on Sunday called Cartalk.

He's got to do that thing of his over and over and over, year in, year out. I'm sure it takes a toll after awhile. I think that's why he's got to resort to all that goofy schtick: "half my brain tied behind my back just to make it fair having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have harmless little fuzzball all knowing all seeing all caring maharushi doctor of democracy behind the golden EIB microphone in the attilla the hun chair institute of advanced conservative studies blah blah blah"

Yup, Cartalk can be very funny. 873 KHz, Sunday mornings in Europe. (Like 10.00 - 11.00 UTC or something...)

I'm not interested in the reason for other peoples opinions really. Hegel once said that the progress of a society is the outcome of the "fight" between different opinions. (Or something like that...). Synthesis = theshis < - > anti-thesis.

Rush is boring and pathetic in my opinion. NPR is well done and interesting. I'm simply more interested in hearing stories about the solar system, nuclear weapons and so on than what Clinton did whith a cigar many years ago.

Hi Everyone,

So old Rush is still blaming everything on the Clintons. Will his line ever change. As to Rush’s change in attitude. It happened when he passed into the ranks of the mega wealthy. This is when he became, as mentioned above, a corporate socialist.

When Rush was first on, I think he actually cared about the middle class, but once he entered the inner sanctum of TPTB he went over to the dark side.

Same story with Dr. Laura. When she was first on she said she didn't approve of gays, but she would counsel them on her show. Only after she became the darling of the religious right did she become openly hostile towards gays. Her ratings have been dropping ever since.

BTW, our local right wing conservative talk radio station just changed to what is best described as an old fogy music format. I mean there should be a warning not to listen to this music while driving or operating heavy equipment. The change took me by surprise because they have had Rush for more than 15 years, and added all the other right wing shows as they came along.

Maybe, as the War continues to drag on, and as the economy continues to slide, folk are getting tired of constantly hearing “It’s all the Clintons fault.”

Never been a fan of Rush Limberger. He's up Bush's ass pretty far, yes? I've never seen a pundit so contradictory or infantile. I believe he coined the term 'fem nazis' and 'eco nazis' to paint anyone to the left of Richard Nixon... His roly poly ass will be in for quite a surprise when/if a peak oil doomer scenario materializes.

NPR is the closest thing to non-biased you can find on the radio in the U.S., and they appear to have a bias towards the centrist viewpoint, even though a right or left viewpoint on a given issue may be more closer to the truth or even proven...

I myself could probably be called a 'center libertarian', maybe a 'green libertarian', not left or right economically, but very far liberal when it comes to social issues, and not the Hitlery Klinton kind of liberal, either, but more like pro-gun, leave my property alone, dismantle the FBI/CIA/DEA/NSA, I don't need no fucking ID, it's time to restore the constitution kind of liberal. I simply avoid listening to the radio most of the time, not much worth listening to.

Although NPR did run a pretty decent radio show called "This New Car", covering the advantages and disadvantages of alternative fueled vehicles. It's major downside was that it was too politically correct, and perpetuated some 20 year old misconceptions about vehicle capabilities(like diesel vehicles are dirty, electric vehicles are slow, ect.). It somewhat resorted to bullshit talking points, which just doesn't accurately portray their merits and disadvantages...

I remember Rush Limberger mentioning alternative fueled cars, mentioning how an electric car could only go a speedy 40 mph and would have to stop at a coal plant every 30 miles to recharge, in which case it would get horrible emissions. That guy is hopeless if he believes that EVs are that slow, EVs don't go farther than that, and if they are dirtier than gas cars even from coal(which they are often much cleaner, even from a dirty coal plant). He's constantly berated hybrids, referring to their drivers as 'eco-nazi's, outright ignoring the economic argument for them in given situations. He certainly doesn't give a rats ass about our growing dependence on finite oil resources, as if you want to reduce your impact on future generations, or attempt to live sustainably, you're just another 'eco-nazi'. He talks about how it's his choice to drive his 5,000 pound Bently 'twin turbo'(whatever the hell model it is), yet fails to mention the damages, both monetary and personal, that the exhaust causes to other people and their property, or the damages caused in obtaining its fuel from volatile nations. He should also pay for those things, should he not? But, taxpayers and individual people that may not have had any participation in contributing to that pollution foot the bill.

Whenever I think of Limbaugh, I think of a chubby, flag-waving, racist toad. Fits his character perfectly. Only he's in a cooker filled about 2/3 with water.
The unnecessary felling of a tree, perhaps the old growth of centuries, seems to me a crime little short of murder. ~Thomas Jefferson

Limbaugh, Hannity, and Savage

Postby PenultimateManStanding » Thu 04 May 2006, 22:46:49

That's their order in the ratings and syndication in the US Talk Radio market. I have no idea how Hannity gets his success unless its that he's on TV too. He's a bore, if you ask me. Limbaugh and Savage are both showmen, entertainers at their cores. Both driven, ambitious types with plenty of personal demons just like the rest of us. Savage lambastes gays, and got his TV show cancelled for telling a gay taunter to "get AIDS and die". But he was photographed swimming naked with the notorious gay poet Allen Ginsberg and there is a letter in the Ginsberg archives where Savage (Weiner) tells of his involvement with a South Pacific islands boy. Limbaugh tells his audience that drug users should be thrown in jail and turns out to be a pill popper. It's a weird world.

These gentlemen speak on behalf of the moral majority in this country.

Who are we lowly sinners and liberals to question their actions?

:!:

There's only two futures for these morons - either they end up starving, impoverished, begging for scraps of food in some soupline, or they are executed by their next set of overlords for not saying EXACTLY the right thing at the right time (think Stalin).

Either way, they have dug themselves a hole so deep, Satan himself couldn't climb out of it.

One coul almost feel sorry for them ...

or not. :)

Savage tried to be a stand up comedian once. He's funny sometimes. Limbaugh can make you laugh too. I hope people just remember to take them with a grain of salt, it's a lot of BS.
