Too bad this won't convince anyone who isn't already convinced. Preaching to the choir.

Even with this somewhat graphical demonstration of Uncle Sam carrying an oil barrel on his back with a dead solider strapped to it, most people pretend not to notice and go about their business as usual. Typical display of Americans sleepwalking on their way to a cataclysmic future.

Satire aside,
it is too sad for words.

The most moving part of this video for me was the almost complete lack of empathy, response, and interest on behalf of the crowd. "This can be ignored, move along, nothing to see here."

We are so very screwed.

Because people are adept at avoiding seeing the large pink elephant in the room, this is because it was once a very small pink elephant and people have gotten use to stepping over it/around it as it gradually got bigger. One day, they will suddenly see this enourmous pink elephant and chaos will result.

"And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?"

probably called 'peak-oil' ;)
