yep. puppies and kittens, cute as can be. So are little kids when they are learning to talk, to walk, etc. It's a mammal thing, I think. Little baby snakes aren't cute, are they? Baby spiders?


I find baby snakes, toads,frogs, lizards extremely cute.

Standards of 'cute' are different.

When I think of something that is cute, it tends to have any number of the following traits:

-scaley
-has lots of sharp teeth
-sharp claws
-the larger the cuter
-deep black eyes
-fangs
-venom
-eight legs
-hisses
-ambushes and traps its prey
-forked toungues
-stingers
-tentacles

I especially find Green Anacondas, Goliath Amazon Bird-eating Spiders, Giant Squid, and Komodo Dragons to be 'cute'. Human babies, not so much as I do find to be annoying and loud.

Pink-toed tarantulas are very cute. I once had the care of two young Pink Toes.

I mean, really, what's not cute about pink toes?

Cuteness is in the eye of the beholder.
It'll be a genetic trait so that adults take care of their young and everyone else's young (as apparently we evolved in social groups small enough that most people were at least related)./

I think these people who think tarantulas are cute are pulling our leg. I can go with little fishies that look like they are smiling, even cute wiggly snakes, but not tarantulas. Tarantulas aren't cute, no, aren't cute at all.

Yes, the cherubs are mine. Sean aged 2 and Caelan aged 3. They are nice little Hobbitses. Sean, I think has some Orc blood in him though - eats and eats and eats, definitely a survivor. In the pic he is even eating his hands !!!
