I thought this was good, and actually an effective use of a cab in a post peak world.

Yikes! They could lighten up that chassis!

Just a suggestion from a Mule's point of view.
If you give a man a fish you will have kept him from hunger for a day. If you teach a man to fish he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

For your average person going to and from work, the bulk of travel, the following would be ideal:

For the more technologically inclined, the mechanics, the engineers, the racers, the gearheads, the motorsports enthusiasts, or just your average Joe who wants a car they might only take out once a week for fun or use to grab groceries on occassion or run short errands, we will ideally see much more of this:

For long distance travel, as opposed to airplanes, this would be much better, about as fast, far cheaper, and way more energy efficient:

Instead of crushing cars, turning them to chicken coops, or pulling them with oxen, converting them to a renewable fuel combined with driving a lot less by providing inexpensive, widely available, and convenient alternatives to car use would be a much better idea.

Being the doomer I am, the above isn't likely to happen in time, even though it is entirely possible. If society gets its shit together and tells industry and the government to go fuck themselves, that we need to powerdown and we want to keep similar living standards to today while doing it(at the expense of the power elite's living standard, otherwise the resources aren't there), then we just might have a good future. Otherwise, I'm not betting on it.
