$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('smiley', ' ')$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'Y')ou must be a Cornucopian if you think we can avoid reversion back to a low energy civilization.

So how about moving forward to a low energy civilization?

Why don't you and the other born again Krispy Kremers all move to the South and secede again? This time, instead of fighting you, we will just throw a big farewell party for you.

Go create your own rightwing fundamentalist moonbat state.

You're no libertarian, you are a big government Bushite.

You have yet to proof that statement. Remember, no matter how many times you tell a lie its still a lie.

Course, facts and reasoning never make it far with liberals..... They prefer to just ignore facts and piss and moan about how its all Bushs fault.

And speaking of moving, why dont YOU move. Theres alot more countries out there that would fit your idea of "the good life", why do you live here and bitch and moan about it?

Son, if you're a libertarian than I'm a Neocon.

If it walks like a duck, smells, like a duck...etc.

You are a Neocon.

Most libertararians I know are as horrified by your boy as I am.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Lokutus', 'I') highly recommend the book What's the Matter With Kansas for anyone curious as to why we have all these sheeple today who can't bear to hear any dissent over the policies of the Bush administration.
I recommend, if you want anyone to take anything you write seriously, that you refrain from using stuipd terms like "sheeple" to describe anyone who does not subscribe to your specific worldview.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Lokutus', '
')I also think Kunstler is correct about civilization having to wave bye-bye to its disasterous experimentation with feminism over the past 40 years. Once the cheap energy evaporates, we'll return to our natural roles.

our natural roles? what the hell does that mean? you mean the roles where the caveman bonks the cavewoman on the head with big club then drags her to cave to be his slave?

It is no wonder kuntsler thinks feminism is disasterous (I mean, just look at him)...it gives woman the wherewithal to tell him he is a circus freak and to stay 5 feet away from them at all times...big club or not.

To me, it sounds like you are longing for this great change, because your current life is boring, uninspired and dull. Perhaps you fantasize about being a PO hero? Well, you may get your chance, but do not count on going back 150 years, especially where the roles of men and women are concerned...the wheel goes round and round, but it never covers the same ground twice.

On another note, Specop, I am simply amazed at your ability to turn any conversation into a name calling, knock-down, dragged out dem/lib vs. rep/con arguement.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Specop_007', '
')I think its safe to say I want more freedoms then you do. I want less taxes, less government, more gun rights and less welfare.
Oops, did I say less welfare? Yep, no more "wealth redistribution"...Probably scares the pants off a liberal like yourself.
But keep making these grand assumptions.

Dear SpecOp,
I just thought I would give you a little news flash from 1996 or thereabouts: Bill Clinton reformed Welfare so that US citizens can only get it for a short time (I think it is 2 or 3 years total for your lifetime)--which is why welfare is no longer a politcal football in election years.
Also, the term "wealth redistribution" refers to a lot of other things besides welfare...like our current graduated tax system...every legitimate charity...and many other things. Some of those things might not be so bad. I doubt you really think they're all bad.
Now that I have set you straight, please continue with the liberal-bashing. It amuses me.

Well, you just keep on keepin' on with your feminist delusions.

Back in high school we had a chick who thought she was the equal of any male. Being the captain of the senior girl's basketball team she spent half a year lobbying for thr right to play a game against the senior boy's team. The school finally caved into the feminutzies and scheduled a game.

The final score was 124 to 6.

Take a wild guess who won.

Hint: The big mouth never talked BS again after that.

That is a silly example for two reasons, the first being it is unverifiable...and I have my doubts about its validity

and second...if this example is not merely a figment of your imagination, then did the girl play all by herself? uh, no, she was part of a team...a TEAM that lost.

All I have to say is, I pity you if you think you can survive and prosper in this world or any other with your caveman attitude about half of the entire population.

I failed to re-read the post...I for some reason thought he said she played on the boys team...oh well, whatever. Rest of the post stands.

Were you that girl?

I question your argument that cheap energy has any correlation or impact to legitimate greviances of women regarding their roles. If that were the case perhaps we would have seen more baked cookies and pies in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina when gas reached $3 a gallon. As part of a working family cattle ranch there is so much to be done we do not have the luxury of stereotypes. Everybody works, everybody is misrable. It is undeniable that men generally have greater upper body strength, but my stepmother can string fence just as good as any man.

Oh, and before you try to label me as some P-whipped male, I say this to you:

Wait till you have daughters....
If you give a man a fish you will have kept him from hunger for a day. If you teach a man to fish he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

No dear, it really did happen. But you just keep living in your little feminist dream world where there are no appreciable differences between men and women.

So which really matter, the appreciable or the depreciable differences "between men and women"?
