No one but yourself knows what interests you. There are loads of possible topics, pick one. On the topic of globalization I suggest a nice essay could be made simply by looking in detail at the economics of modern container ships. They certainly are changing the world.

How about a talk on the potential for global economic disruption as transport fuels become more expensive due to depletion?
The problem is, of course, that not only is economics bankrupt, but it has always been nothing more than politics in disguise... economics is a form of brain damage.

I think aarons topic is definately the one to go with if your looking for information off this board. At least, that's where you will find the most info on.

Your going to need information sources though, and most teachers/profs. won't accept all internet sources. So check the media reviews section and check out a few of those books from the library. You'll need quotes.

If i where you, I would structure the paper about how globalization sounds good on paper, but with resource decline cranked in, especially decline of the ability to transport things, suddenly it puts at great risk countrys that allowed all their production to go somewhere else where the labor was cheaper. Emphisize that although alot of peoples objections to globalization are based in pure emotion or the fact it puts them at a disatvantage, the actual objection should be with transportion about to get prohibitively expensive, it's a foolhardy way to plan one's economy.

Any geographical topic that is related to global change. Hmm.. Yeah that would fit.

The nice thing is, point out that although the recent run up of gasoline prices was due to the hurricanes, look up nymex before then and see that oil and gas was slowly increasing anyway. The hurricanes where a spike, point out that without the spike, our prices will continually climb alot faster than we expect. Nice from proving your argument i mean. =)

Make sure to connect all the dots for the reader, don't leave a conclusion for the teacher or prof to make on their own. Oh, and finally, don't use run on sentences and bad spelling like me. That's why i haven't graduated college yet. I'm too freaking used to spell check, and when i get my mind into a topic, I think faster than i can type, so i tend towards run on sentences. It looks sloppy.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('KingM', 'H')ow about the precipitous decline in literacy in a post-peak world?

I think King is referring to using basic punctuation even in a stupid, anonymous, weirdo forum such as this.

Even my middle-aged fingers can still hit the space bar after a period and find the shift key for the first letter in a sentence and actually tap out the entire extent of the word y-o-u.

You might be surprised how well a mediocre idea comes across if presented properly, or the response to a question posed in a similar manor.
