From Chris Ayres in Los Angeles
A PASTOR in Texas has been killed by an electric shock after grabbing a microphone while performing a baptism in water.

The Rev Kyle Lake, 33, was partly submerged at University Baptist Church in Waco — only 14 miles from President Bush’s Crawford ranch — while baptising a woman in front of 800 people. He reached out to adjust a microphone when he was killed.

Poached preaching pastor.

You can imaging the scene rather like Michealangelo's picture in the Sistine Chapel of god giving life to Adam with the spark, where Adam is reaching out.... tz-tzz-tzzz-tzzz.

Powerful Potential puts preacher packing - pertpetual perdition! Panic plus puking parishioners produces plenty pissed pants. People ponder poignant point: perhaps pious platitudes provide paltry protection.

Ohm my God! Poor fellow was conducting more than just a baptism! Anode things are getting crazy but this is simply shocking! Watt is this world coming to? It strains my capacitance to absorb these sorrowful happenings. Please tell me things cathodely get better. I'm gone faraday and return to find this in the current events! Hopefully the parishoners were all discharged without any of them getting hertz.

Why is it that God always seems to want to kill those people who actually believe in him, while they're gathered in his own house of worship? Over the years, I've lost count of the number of instances of steeples collapsing; roofs falling in; organists being hit by lightning etc - all usually leading to sundry fatalities amongst the congregations in attendance.
If he does exist, he's obviously a bit of a curmudgeon - or gets bored very easily.

There was initial resistance to his induction methods. They thought it was a sili-con thing to do. However this was a transistor-y phase. Nobody knew whose volt it was.

The circuit judge Henry will determine how he di-ode.
