this essay was part of Cockburn's weekly "Counterpunch Diary", so i'll be intrigued to see what sort of reaction he gets from fellow writers as well as readers. he quite often publishes opposing views the following weekend if he get's a lot of letters on a particular issue.

right, get those keyboards working, all you mad-as-hell peak oilers! :-x

i didn't even notice this before.
i'm not a fan of The Nation and its band of Democratic Party-loving faithful, but maybe this will give some of them an excuse to look into PO and decide for themselves it it is real or not. :P
