Dale Allen Pfeiffer dumps Mike Ruppert!

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Leaf', 'O')n the "Surviving Peak Oil " site by DAP..I was there 2 times...OMG..I think I would rank this in the top 5 as the most boring PO sites. Nobody but the 2,000 or so odd peakoil.comers could care less about this site! I'll bet surving Vodka hangover.com gets more hits!

The amazing thing is that http://www.survivingpeakoil.com is a pretty darn good site but gets so little traffic. I try to link to it as much as possible for two reasons:

1. It's got good stuff, and

2. I'd like to see it get some more traffic.

Best,

Matt

Yes you have a strong pimp hand my brother :o
I will review the site and link to it.

I want to look at this for a second:

"Important Disclaimer
Dale Allen Pfeiffer is no longer associated with Michael C. Ruppert or From the Wilderness publications. He wishes to make it known that he does not agree with the views of Michael Ruppert or his publication."

IMHO I cant see how you run so far along with someone just to up one day and disclaim them and seemingly everything in
between the two.
I believe they could have/should have parted more gracefully and still both retained maximum credibility........maybe if they would have went about this differently. 8)

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('EnemyCombatant', 'Y')ou think Clooney is cute.

Girl you just don't know a hunk when you see one do you.

Being a fairly average straight guy, I am kind of bad at calling that. However, if I want to get my wife all warmed up, Brad Pitt in Legends of the Fall seems to work.

I hate to morph this thread, but I love men.

And yes, Brad Pitt can hold his own. But for me Al Gore is the only one, Because his love, compassion, vision and superior intelligence makes him the perfect male.

If I understood Dale's own account of what happened, it appears that Mike dumped him (though he was threatening to leave if Mike didn't fire Jamie Hecht).

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'W')hich is why I'm moving into publishing porn.

Best,

Thanks for stepping out for Mike, Matt. I've renewed my subscription and sent a little something to him (Rockefeller, I'm not!).

Folks, he's moving to the Pacific NW because we are coming into a time where TSHTF, and L.A. just ain't the place to be when it does.

Dale wants to expand his topics of discussion, and get credit for his work. I think he's being a little hard on Mike. But artists (and scientists!) are known for their temperaments; I guess activists are, too.

Dump the blame game, OK? Both men are doing what they feel needs to be done. Dale feels the planet and people still have a chance; Mike feels that there'll be h*** to go through before either can rebuild. Both are legitimate viewpoints. (Though I admit I'm much closer to Mike's than Dale's--it's too late to do much but prepare to ride it out and plan for what to do when we reach the other side. But any mitigation process the Dales of this world can help get going, the shorter the time of TSHTF may be. So I'm glad they're BOTH here, working hard to wake the world out of their slumber.)

Didn't TS already HTF? Why just a few weeks ago Mike was predicting the end of the United States, and even its disintegration as a nation due to hurricane Rita:

"While I had serious doubts about America's ability to recover from Katrina, I am certain that - barring divine intervention - the United States is finished; not only as a superpower, but possibly even as a single, unified nation with the arrival of Hurricane Rita. -- Mike Ruppert, September 21, 2005"

I'm not actually on the ground in the U.S., but news reports would suggest that the U.S. hasn't ended yet, and is still functioning. Guess Mikey's just a silly drama queen, eh?

Depends on what part of the US you are in.

Geographically, the Gulf Coast is toast. 300,000 jobs are estimated to be lost. Private mercenaries patrolling the streets of a major American city.
New Orleans Superdome took 2 days to turn into the Mad Max Thunderdome. And remember, there is hurrican "season." IE, it's not like 2005 is going to look like some type of aberration when we look back from 2025 or 2050. It will look like the start of a new trend.

28 states are now in declared states of emergency.

Politicaly, the top sentaor, the top representative and the president's cheif of staff are all either indicted, about to be indicted, or being investigated.

Economically, the savings rate to zero, people not paying their credit cars at an all time high, delphi going bankrupt, most of the major airlines going bankrupt, and GM and Ford might be bking also.

Mike may be dramatic, but its because the events in three dimensional reality are dramatic.

JD, hows the moonbeam project going? Any commercially availbe energy from that bad boy yet?

Best,

Matt

We should do a poll about who on this board sides with Mike (doomer) and who sides with Pfeiffer (optimist).

Seriously, I would be considered a doomer by you guys but I don't consider myself a doomer. If you think the US is going to collapse based on reasoning, then is that being a doomer? And the decline of the US may be a good thing in the long run.

How else are we going to fix the foundation of this country? By continuing to limp along. Perhaps it needs to be totally destroyed and rebuilt in the right way (small self-sustainable communities). Do you really think that is going to happen with our current system? Will the elites give up their federalized power they hold over you? Hardly.

Maybe, just maybe if there is a collapse, people will rethink society.

NOT! Who am I kidding. People will always be people. If society collapses we will go back to things the way they were. It will be a vicious cycle until some alien species puts us out of our misery.
Now why didn't I take the blue pill.

JohnDenver,

You're wrong. I have no problem visualizing your moonbeam project. But I don't have a problem visualizing Cameron Diaz blowing me tonight either.

Obviously, neither of these scenarios is even remotely realistic.
