Wow! Read this! Excripts from coming "Domestic Enemie

Unread postby k_semler » Sat 08 Oct 2005, 04:08:12

All I have to say is WOW! From the author of "Enemies Foriegn and Domestic", a new novel entitled "Domestic Enemies" is shortly going on sale. It is about the Aztlan movement, and the adventures of Ranya from the original novel. It is a fasinating read just going by the excripts. I will definatly get this book when it is RTM. http://matthewbracken.web.aplus.net/excerpts.htm

And people wonder why I'd be perfectly happy living in a cave smoking Monte Cristos and drinking whiskey surrounded by all my guns and a garden out front with a stream down the path.

I just saw that you can buy it at amazon.com. amazon.de didn't have it.

There are a few other places where you can order the book and they are listed at the book's homepage. I'm not sure though if I want to give my CC number to a site called ak-47.net. I don't want the GSG9 to kick in my door, throw in a few shock grenades and confiscate the book. (OK, I haven't slept for 24 hours so I blame my paranoia on that).

BTW, have you read any other books like this one? Amazon recommends these books:

* Unintended Consequences by John Ross
* Molon Labe! -- Come and Take Them! by Boston T. Party
* Patriots: Surviving the Coming Collapse by James Wesley Rawles
* The Black Arrow: A Tale of the Resistance by Vin Suprynowicz
* Boston's Gun Bible by Boston T. Party
* The Ballad of Carl Drega by Vin Suprynowicz

Are they any good? I might as well buy some more books if I order them from the USA.

Unintended Consequences is excellent, far better than all the other ones mentioned there. It's by far the best book of its (tiny) genre. Well worth buying, if you can avoid GSG9 that is

GET UNINTENDED CONSIQUENCES!!! That is a damn good book! It details the slow degregation of the RKBA in America, and the resulting conflict that ensues as a result of it. It is a very good book, and historically accurate. All I will say is that I don't blame Henry Bowman one bit, and I support him, (and his loosely associated posse), 100%. I don't see a reason why the tactic wouldn't work if the participants did CYA enough either. I highly reccomend this book.

I am now reading Molon Labe. I am only up to page 114, so I can't tell you much about it so far other than I like the "future history" premise of the book. It seems very believable. The Author, (Boston T. Party), did predict some events to happen in the year 2005 that acully did make the senate floor. Oh yeah, turn to page 91, and look about 1/2 way down the page. Specifically the quote by Thomas Jefforson. How befitting of today!

The ballad of Carl Drega is what I intend to purchase next, along with Send In The Waco Killers.

Patriots is a good read, it's more of an information manual thinly disguised with a story line, which is fairly predictable of the genre, but it's a good page turner and you'll probably get some good ideas for preps from it.

I should have never let my wife read it, she's now convinced we need to order lots and lots of aluminum granules and iron oxide.

It does seem interesting, but as a politically-charged work of fiction, I have to say the author's views shine through a bit too obviously. I think political critiques in fiction are usually more effective when they're less direct and more centered on human nature, like in "Brave New World".

Well you have to admit there are no subliminal messages in any of these books, they're pretty damn up front about what they believe and what message they're sending.

I'm on a very different wavelength in politics and religion from the authors of all of these as far as I know, but I can read them and enjoy them nontheless.

Unintended Consequences cost me several near-sleepless nights trying to get through it.

Bracken's first book is pretty good, way better then Boston's novel attempt. I've read almost all the books listed above and definitely recommend Ross's as the best of the bunch, Bracken second.

There is a lot of useful, factual information in these books if you're just starting out and learning the ropes. I'd be interesting in hearing opinions on Aztlan.
