He has written about school rage (ala Columbine - actually titled Rage), crashing a plane into a building (The Running Man), and a plague that wipes out a lot of people (The Stand). Scary how he seems to make his fiction come alive and how similar it is to reality. Most of the books he has written (especially the above mentioned works) have been written in the 70's and 80's under his name and his psuedo name, Richard Bachman.
