Spec vs. Semler

Unread postby Schweinshaxe » Mon 26 Sep 2005, 19:36:19

Yes, whom of the two would win a hypothetical "Mano a Mano" fight.

Let's say the conditions are the following:

1. They start 1 mile from each other and start to walk until they meet in a forest during day time.

2. They can carry as much hardware as they want. No limits.

3. No rules. Darwinism is the key word.

4. Winner is the one who survives.

Hmmm... Difficult question! Spec has the advantage of a gung ho personality. Semler is a tactical philosopher.

I think Spec would advance quicky while firing his M61 Vulcan, shouting "git some, git some!" Semler would be building booby traps and waiting dug down with a sniper rifle.

Hmmm... I'd say Semler would be the winner after a hard fight.

What do you think?

How about spec and semler vs. macsporan and NEOPO? I'd pick the cool and armed righties against the petulant pacifists. 8)

After they both exhaust their ammo without managing to hit each other, they would have to resort to harsh language, at which point I think I'd have to give it to Specop. ;)

I'd rather be on SpecOps's team. Besides him knowing his shit, I think he has more weapons than me. :)

I'd put my money on Semler.

Did someone call me a pacifist?!?!!? :)

I think the use of weapons prevents humans from evolving physically and mentally :o
These people will evolve into one big eyeball and a finger!!!
I prefer to peal the skin off the face of my prey by hand thank you

Is it coincidence or simple PO preparedness that I happen to know that the human palm is the best meat? 8)

How many times have we experienced the type that talks alot about a subject yet seems to know very little...

I pulled my first trigger - a .38 revolver when I was 6 years old.
Thats one of the pros of living around bikers I suppose 8)
Sure Johnny "Red devil" richardson was holding the gun but I pulled the trigger damnit!!! :-D

My friend committed suicide when he was 18 - thats one of the cons of having easy guns and alcohol around for teenagers

Shotguns rifles SKS 9mm blah - was never thrilled by it.
Must be a primordial chromosonal thing :)
Yeah lets go out in the freezing cold and prove that we are men by killing bambi hahahah yeah I know these types well.

small penis big gun syndrome maybe?
Lack of power in the real world - love the feeling of "holdin weight" near crotch area???
Helps to even out the fact that you have a $8 an hour job gaurding an oil refinery 8)
basic fear and paranoia?
and you tear up every time you hear the star spangled banner?
Ya know..... its just beyond me to understand these people 8)

I am sure MR Gibbons could give us a good outline of this types general sociology.

If this is going to be a sactioned PO title bout then heres my stats:
6'0 - 210 - pure fuckin evil-Have guns will travel!!!

Look - I dont want to hurt anyone - I just want to cut a little "Z" in specops forehead!!!

"Say "what?" again mother*&$#$@!!!"

OK To be honest I really use to enjoy shooting - when I was a kid I loved anything that projected metal rapidly....
I still have a bb in my face to prove it!!! 8)
Some of us find better things to do then waste perfectly good ammo!!

For now I say conserve your ammo and read sun tzu ;-)
Calimine lotion will NOT cure an itchy trigger finger!!!
"Aye you can fight ....but its whats up here thats makes ya a man lad......"

If the fight continues in to the night, do they both have night vision? I'm not going to make a judgement call on this unless I know whether they have night vision? Cause lets say I thought spec would kick semler's ass during the day...but night comes around and semler has night vision and spec doesn't. Or vice versa. Do you see my point?

How could I possibly render a decision on this, or contemplate placing a vote without knowing if either or both of them have night vision? If you create a poll like this again, would you mind pointing out at the get go whether the contestants have night vision or not?

If I knew if they had night vision I would place my vote right now, but since I don't know if they have night vision, I have to sit here and wait, and not vote, just because I don't know whether either or both of them have night vision (I know you said the fight is to take place during the day, and I understand that, but if they hide out for a while and one guy has night vision and the other doesn't well, duh, that's who's going to get my vote. That's why I think it is SO IMPORTANT to know whether they have night vision or not).

I imagine it would be like the scene in Braveheart where the Irish and Scots are advancing on each other, yelling and brandishing weapons, until, just as they meet, they smile and shake hands. Then pity the poor fool who tried to set them on each other.

Well I guess you have to PM them and ask if they have night vision or not if it's so goddamn important.

OK, I step in here and say that hey both have 2 gen. night vision goggles. Spec also has a pink Hello Kitty backpack, used as BOB. Semler a signed hardcover copy of "Living History" by Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Is the hardware situation a bit clearer now?

My guess is that Spec has rigged his mortar by now. We can expect incoming heavy mortar fire over Semler any minute now. Semler is waiting invisible in the shadows. Will he make it? I'm not so sure anymore...

Clearly, Spec is merely "Shock and Awe" while Semlar understands the big picture more clearly. :-D

Of course, Mac and Neo would do best by choosing a side to load weapons for. :P

I want to know if someone is working on the script for PeakOil - The Movie! I can see it now, here's a scene:

MQ: Liebig's Law says that once you run out of ammo, you're done for.
JudoCow: But, couldn't I make my own ammo from wind-powered charcoal reactors?
Semlar: Well you could, but it'd need to be a brass cartridge since it wouldn't be smokeless powder...
Spec: Where'd my cigs go?
Barbara: You may have one of my clove cigarettes - here you go Spec!
Macsporan: Spec really does stink like the filthy Pakistani clove I had always imagined. Has anyone seen my tinfoil hat?
Aaron: Let's stay on topic, or I'll send the Raiders to take you all out!
Baby Peanut: And your little dog too!
Pops: If we stay in the cover of the fruit and nut trees, we may have a chance....
Schweinshaxe: Achtung! Der movie is over! Move along!
PMS: And now back to our regularly scheduled program.
Leanan: In today's news post, Michael Brown has taken over the top position in the Nuclear Regulatory Commission...
SidneyTawl: Perfect, my scalar technology notions for fusion will finally be looked at and I can start dating Hoagland...
BiGG: Looked at? Are you kidding? I just posted yet another amazing techno-fix of the future! Crap in, endless useful energy out!
basil_hayden: Oh Christ, now we're done for....

Hehe, that was fun. Somebody with more imagination than me ought to run with this...
