ARRRRRRRRRRRGH!
okay, now I feel worse because ya'll know what an idiot I am around computers but feel much better now that I have screamed to the heavens!
Anyway, my future son in law my be a big bad Marine, but he has yet to meet a pissed off medic! We are more dangerous! WE CAN WITHOLD THE MORPHINE!
I am more than a little frustrated and shouldn't be as perturbed as I am I know because he has not created any permanent danger or harm to my puter, just fuqued it up to the point where things I usually recognize I don't....as a point of reference..my 'start' is now on the side instead of on the bottom, and yeah, I be so unedumacated that I don't know how to fix it, although I did manage to fix those stupid looking 'birdsnest' and 'fish' like icons, although in doing so I got rid of nearly half of the icons on my desktop, although they are on the start menu (on the side, natch!)
Anyway, there is nothing wrong with my puter but annoyances, so I shouldn't bitch this much, but I swear that my future son in law is fixin to get a major headache for messin with my puter and will get no motrin from me for it either@!!!
What does this have do to with peak oil?
Well, I have been trying to do that 'teamspeak' 'peakspeak' thing and am sure I would have figured it out by now if not for this SNAFU! so there is the link, albeit a teneous one.
anyway, I will hang in there, and want to say that even when I don't post a lot, I cannot think of the last time I read as much in a site as I read here..I feel pretty 'ignint' sometimes when reading it, but then the librarian at muskogee just looked at me and smiled when I showed her my next list of books I wanted to read..she said "interested in peak oil now, are we?" and smiled..she has seen me devour books upon different subjects at different times and the only one I have ever 'stuck' with has been history, with a specialization in holocaust literature, and philosophy..(prolly only because I never took a class in it and am trying to educate myself)
When I told her that this is one I take very seriously, she got a look on her face, and said "good..you should." ..something tells me a muskogee librarian knows a bit about peak oil and might be a bit of a 'prepper' herself! I plan on asking her tomorrow when I go and see what books she has ready for me to check out.
I know this is a bit of a ramble, but haven't 'touched base' with any of ya'll for a bit, and this is the way I do it, so "Hi!"
