Maybe if the gas prices get too high we could clone some dinosaurs, kill them and bury them in land fills for a year or so and pump more oil that way!

You can do better than a bot I'm sure...
The problem is, of course, that not only is economics bankrupt, but it has always been nothing more than politics in disguise... economics is a form of brain damage.

I'm not sure but I thought you'd said in earlier posts that he was all for the self-reliant thing anyway. Is that correct?

If so then time will prove you right anyway and if you tell him that I guarantee it will simmer in his brain for a long time.

If he isn't then try to get him to lean towards self reliance... you can use any excuse even using the doe eyes and asking him to do it for just for you cause he loves you. (that usually gets them)

Take oil out of the equation...if there are (were) trillions of dinosaurs and we're currently extracting 84,000,000 dinosaurs per day...how long 'till we reach peak dino? It's just basic math :)

When people say peak oil will "never happen," do they mean like, just in their lifetimes or something? Because really, it's just common sense. Oil finite. We run out of finite things if we keep using them. Even if we have a couple hundred years worth left (hah!), peak oil will still happen.

I could just see it though..trillions of T-rexes living in high rises due to overpopulation. Those would be some tall high rises.

Remind them (or tell them if they don't know their history) that the USA *was* the Saudi Arabia of oil before the 1970s, then point to where the US is now and remind them about what life was like in the 1970s. Then ask why that won't happen to the real Saudi Arabia.

Oh, man, PO, I have to wear flares?
