$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Barbara', 's')pecop and ILP,
I really can't believe you think Chavez won't help whites. This is the big news: the rest of the world is NOT always thinking in terms of black and white. Surely a man like Chavez, who is ruling a nation of whites, black and indians (living together with no fuss, as in most Latin America they do), and being an half indian himself, is not doing question of racism against white, black or green people.

The world doesn't think the same way you think, I'm sorry.

Barbara, Of course Chavez will help poor whites too. What an excellent cheap way to foment dissent and class warfare in the US. Not that fed will actually let him help...

I can assure you that the Black, White and Indian in central and south America are NOT living in harmony and equality. Thats just completely untrue. Visit the Indians there and ask em. The very wealthy in central America are largely ex-pat Europeans fleeing socialism and trust me they throw thier money around. A lot of Blacks are treated as second class, and Indians are somewhere down below that.

Sad to say, read www.isteve.com on the racial caste systems in s. america, Steve Sailor also thinks we're heading for that same kind of world here in N. america if we don't start changing things quick.

Living and growing up in the US and seeing and living in the racial caste systems here, I just can't believe in a "let's all join hands and sing kum-by-ya" future. Which is too bad, we sure sang that one a lot in elementary school and it's a neat song.

All of those things that you describe are acts of survival.

You dont really believe some of the things you type, right?
How in the hell could you possibly tell me getting a forklift, breaking into a jewelry store and stealing gold is "survival"? How about this. Heard today on the scanner people are stealing rims from cars. Are you telling Spec he should add a set of nice rims to his survival gear, because thats stuff thats "essential" for survival?

If these people can sell those items for money then it goes some way to making up for all that they have lost. If they never had anything in the first place then what do people expect during a situation where law and order breaks down. That people are just going to politely sit down and wait for assistance.

It wouldn't surprise me if people are selling their looted items on the black market in areas that they have been evacuated to.

Spec is sorry Barbara, but the world DOES think that way.
Racism is a BILLION dollar industry. Yep, theres an entire industry built up over racism.
The powers that be have too much in it to let racism go away.
And the fact Chavez is (was) working with Jesse Wackson is proof positive. Specop will damn well gaurentee you Jesse was spewing about the Evil White Devil in America. And Specop would be mightily suprised if any of that gas made it to the poor white people.

 Specop were you seriously unaware of the all the survivalists hoarding gold to trade for other necessities after TSHTF? Heck you probably have some gold hidden away somewhere yourself.

Actually, I'm getting used to it. Kind of makes him sound, well, sort of Napoleon-like.

Yeah, that's it. Napoleon.

P.s. SpecOp, where do you get ammo for your K-31 that's reasonably priced?

Specop aka Napolean will point you to aimsurplus.com for K-31 ammo. Unfortunately ammo cost is the downside to the K-31. You just cant find cheap ammo for it (Relatively speaking). But, all the surplus ammo is match grade, good stuff. Theres 1 current manufacturer of modern ammo but it runs around 20-30 bucks a box depending where you get it.

I would loot a jewlery store, for sure. If getting a little trinket that catches someones eye would enable me to trade for something I need, which is in short supply, I would quickly trade a $500 watch for a chocolate bar if that is all there was.

Don't forget we aren't talking about sachs 5th ave here. most jewlery stores have rings etc with a top price of $1000. (this is canada don't forget so the prices I quote will be different) it would take a few of those babbies to move someone to give up bottled water or diapers.

but finding things to trade is what you do on the street. you may not want or need it but sure as hell you'll find someone who would want it, especially after everyone has just lost EVERYTHING they own.

In my opinion the trading argument is bull. People are killing each other for the things they need, not trading. It's the US and everyone wants that American dream. I guess they are even willing to kill people to get it. These looters are, in many cases, taking much more than what they need to survive. Taking much more than what you need is greed, not survival.

I might steal about 3 days of food and water, but if I take 5 shopping carts full while some people in the city need that food and water also, that's pure greed.

That's very cute.

I haven't watched Sesame Street for quite some time. I guess Elmo does talk in the third person. I'll have to start watching again.

That way I can catch up with what's really important in the world.
