Hi all. The March before last (a little over a year ago), I made a bet with a friend that within the next 3 years, at some point the national average cost of regular unleaded would exceed $3 a gallon. I think hurricaine Katrina may have won me this bet early, but I can't find any information on national average gas prices. Anyone have any sources on this? Gas is $3.30 in Ithaca, it was $2.70 before the storm, seems like it must have passed $3 by now..

As above however, you'll have to wait till wednesday. The figures released are up to the prior Friday, so these figures are pre-Katrina.
