Jaws is right. Not to mention that Australians and NZers also shed their blood fighting the Japanese.

International respect, once earned, has to be maintained, and this is something the US is struggling to do right now.

JUDGE RENQUIST IS DEAD

Unread postby k_semler » Sun 04 Sep 2005, 02:04:33

According to KOA 850 out of Colorado, Chief Judge Renquist is now dead from thyroid cancer. KOA said that they were informed shortly after 2100 MDT. Looks like Bush gets 2 supreme court nomanees! Yay! Maybe the republic can be taken back from the liberal agenda! Just thought I would inform everyone.

Okay, can you please tell me why the US should even care

Don't take that as a rude comment, just curious what is the worst that could happen if the United States keeps going the way it is.

Sorry if I'm rude occasionally but I enjoy it.

Thank God el busho got re-elected, it was a real act of rebellion where I live to vote for him, and my vote may or may not have been counted - 400-lb political policeperson scowling over me to make sure I vote the right way, I just smiled my smiley I's just dumb white folk smile and .... voted for Bush - thank God also for the electronic machines.
Does anyone remember at ALL the eminent domain decision? Is that down the memory hole already? Anyone remember the liberal judges voted for it and the conservative judges voted against it? You heard that right, it's the liberals who decided no man's home is his castle, not when the interests of big biz are at stake.
We need 3 more Antonin Scalias.

Bush is the Anti Christs bastard son
And yes, I remember that it basically means we don't own our own property, the government owns everything we have:
homes, cars, children, gold, guns, goldfish :-x
I am sure this is what Thomas Jefferson had in mind
btw: I just heard over the scanner that my local fire department is on fire.

Yes and it's the leftist judges who voted for taking away property rights, the rightist judges who voted against it.

I dream of G. Gordon Liddy in the white house myself! He'd make a great judge too :)

In my lighter moods I dream of W nominating center right social conservatives for the permanent judges, then recess appointing Pat Robertson and Pat Buchannan to fill out the terms until the nomination process is completed . :-D

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Macsporan', 'A')s it is we all live under the shadow of American Power and baby, its cold outside. 8)

I don't understand what you mean here. You live in Australia. America invaded Iraq and most American's realize that was a mistake but now we have to finsh what we started. It is not like America invaded your country or ever threatened to invade or sanction. Do you blame America for the Bali bombings or stiring up the terrorists in general? Do fear being dragged into the global war on terrorism without having a say in the matter?

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('ElijahJones', 'I')f America falls buddy so does the world, thats how it works.

We all agree it needs to get worse before it gets any better. And it's not 'if' it's 'when'. There's nothing that lasts forever.

What I mean is sharing planet earth with the Bush Administration its like living in a China-shop with a shotgun-toting retard.
The only uncertainty is the order and timing of each grotesque catastrophe as it unfolds.
I really miss Bill Clinton: he may have had the morals of a stoat in rutt but he was a superb administrator, hard worker, meant well, achieved much and took his job seriously.
No one, not even his worst enemy, could accuse the Crawford Chickenhawk of any of these things. :)

That's great. A convicted felon running the supreme court. So much for that conservative law-and-order stance huh? Since there's two spots open, how about nominating Marion Berry for the other one just to balance things out?

I liked you better all pissed off 8) (french accent) you stupid english pig dog rejects with big pointy teeth!!! :o
You have a desert with a big f**king rock in the middle!!! thats it!!
Now go relieve some native peoples from their land like good decent christian white folk do!!! :o
actually since AU started as a penal colony I must think that most of you have a subversive genetic predisposition that should function well post peak!! :)
and ACDC ROCKS I dont care who you are!! R.I.P. Bon scott 8)
hmmm Rehnquist OH YEAH!!
Just brushed up on his "LEGACY" if ya care to call it that.
WANT TO ADD: Just because someone runs/states/seems to be a democrat/republican liberal/conservative does not mean they actually are and that they will vote down the line as one.
Rehnquist was a conservative yet he seemed to fear a world where everyone thought like he did so when he saw his side winning he would get all dysfunctional 8)
Ultimately If he would of had his way, Rehnquist would have minimized or completely destroyed the "wall" (OR what little is left of it) that is the seperation of church and state and he would have overturned abortion roe vs. wade.
Oddly he believed californians should not have to worry about federal agents taking their pot away = limit the power of the federal government
We want to limit the power of the federal government in good times and give them all the power in the bad times yet once we do that they tend to not want to give it back!!!

You see, there are Swedes everywhere!

Judge Rehnquist's ancestors came from Sweden and settled in Wisconsin well before his birth.
