I prefer the "listen live to the '435 machine" site hehe but that's just me....

Savinar's doing a great job here, he started off trying to explain how our fiat money system needs a few percent growth to survive and I started to hear radio dials clicking, but he's got his stride now. His page is a good intro to the subject and this will do nothing but get more ppl clued in. And Matt's got a good speaking voice! :)

Matt is kickin' ass too! GO MATT GO! [smilie=blob5.gif]

Ian Punnett is coming across like he's never even heard of many of these concepts..sigh..just like a goodly amount of many Americans before Katrina.

Interesting quote from Matt: 'I have to ignore some of the facts in order to remain optimistic'.

That didn't finish too well. The guy they had on at the end seems to having been watching too much Stargate. I think they'd done their research on how to discredit Matt, his belief in zero-point energy has been used against him.

Richard Hoagland just chimed in and basically pulled out of Matt some good points and then asked Matt to Join him in legal work to make government release thier "magic" technology that will free us all. Matt basically then said, hey! I aint practiced law in a while, but I wish you luck. He had some misgivings about releasing this "magic" to world leaders around the planet. I tend to agree with him.

They ran out of time with Matt attempting to say, hey, I want everyone to make it through and don't want to spread doom and gloom.
I think they need a whole additional show. Richard talked about the "Shadow" government exploiting all this "magic" and how they need to be pressured by a pissed off populace or else we will never see it.

Ian Punnit is a bit shrill at times, but he isnt bad for the most part. He was the host tonight.

Richard Hoagland has been on coast to coast a lot in the last few years. Art has used him on many occasions and he reffered to himself tonight as "Spock" (Coast to Coasts science advisor) ;)

He is a bit out there, not quite as far out as the folks saying reptilian aliens are among us, but I think hes not too far away from that. I am very skeptical of his concepts about "magic" technology able to pull energy out of the vacuum. Those are his words.

The whole program seemed to be a bit strange really; it moved from talking about werewolfs to repeated pushing the idea that the US government/shadow government used weather modification tech to create Katrina and deliberately steer her into NO. The only explanation I can come up with is that the purpose was to discredit "Peak Oil Theory" and distract attention from what's really going on.... Conspiracy theory perhaps, but that's how it seemed to me.

I didn't quite take it that way. I thought Richard was trying to get Matt on board with his ideas about how to bridge the gap between Peak Oil and what comes after. he did sling some discredit Matt's way, but I didnt think it was a big deal. They argued about whether freeing this "magic" technology was a good idea or not.

Richard doesn't neccesarily disagree with Peak Oil I believe. That was evident when they were talking about Die Off to me.

They were trying to paint him as a misanthrope. Also, I think the only caller that wasn't "out-there" was a survivalist guy which pretty much sums it up I think.

I agree that Richard certainly didn't disagree with the premise, I just find it hard to believe that he was for real. If he was, I think he was deliberately placed to call-out Matt.

EDIT: I want to add, I think Matt realised what was going on and tried his best to talk his way out of the trap that had been laid, it was at the end of the program for a reason though.

I want my magic energy! Matt is just trying to be all doomer on us cause we want our magic energy!

I wonder if we will have cargo cults at some point in the future, where people will build replicas of gas stations and tanker trucks in hopes that the gas will come back again.

The interview ended in a suprising fashion: Richard Hoagland asked Savinar if he would assist in using his legal expertise to get secret 'infinite energy' sources out of the hands of 'black ops' rogue government agencies. Typical Coast to Coast stuff. Savinar was completely taken off guard and handled it miserably. I don't know if Matt actually believes such mysterious 'infinite energy' sources really exist but he fell into the trap of answering Hoagland as if they did and tried to excuse himself from any obligation to do any foia legal work. And then came the bombshell: Savinar said that it would not be good for such an energy source to fall into the hands of human beings who would then lay waste to the Earth and thereby reveal to the entire audience that he would rather see 6 billion people dead than see the Earth's environment destroyed. By then, of course, it was too late for him to say that he just wants 'everybody to be happy'. A sad finish to an otherwise first rate appearance. *edit* posted this from an unupdated screen, obviously this issue was addressed already

Be interesting to see if he stays in the rotation. Guessing this is their lowest listener slot, like to see him back on a weekday.
