So, let me see here. You delay the pain by racking up credit card debt? Which will be harder to even pay off in the future with less good paying jobs or jobs period. Also gas is gonna continue to get more expensive.

Good strategy.

I was worried while I was reading that article, until I read this:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'B')ut some relief is in sight: The end of summer not only means fewer drivers but also less expensive gasoline, as the specifications change to make cheaper winter-grade gasoline.

The savings? About five cents a gallon

Whew. Thank God. Imagine how many things at Walmart people will buy with that kind of savings.

Gasoline futures went up 43 cents today, due to refinery outages. (Note that the price of WTI went up slightly, but not significantly.)

Goodbye sanity (If some people consider $2.50/gallon gas expensive), Hello, $3.50!

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'W')hew. Thank God. Imagine how many things at Walmart people will buy with that kind of savings.

   My thoughts exactly. Somehow, I don't think the five cents will be noticeable in the next few weeks...
After fueling up their cars, Twyman says they bowed their heads and asked God for cheaper gas. There was no immediate answer, but he says other motorists joined in and the service station owner didn't run them off.

on monday gas at the station closest to my house was $2.55 for regular unleaded. tuesday it was $2.69. Today (wednesday) it's $2.79. I won't be using my credit card to pay for gas anytime soon (luckily we have money in the bank and a stable income for the time being). the average price for a fill-up just went up by about $3 in a few days. Is it going to ease back down after gulf of mexico oil production and refineries come back online? i'm not sure... but i do know that the day i have to start using my credit card to pay for gas is the day i stop driving to the commuter rail lot...
