Phil, what are the captions they put along with those stats? those could be parking ticket violations for all we know. AFter all inner city people still have cars but would be less inclined to spend their hard earned money on parking tickets.

You are probably one of these guys who believes we can replace the current tax system with a 7% federal sales tax because you read it on the internet somewhere.

For the record, I did pay more in taxes this year.
On a side note, while I'm 100% for a complete tax system overhaul, a flat sales tax isnt necesarily a good idea as it would *really* hurt small business owners and new business startups. I will admit however, from a individuals point of view, a flat sales tax looks pretty damned appealing on paper. Course, so do Socialism too.....On paper....
And lastly, I'm more Libertarian then Republican. But none of the smaller parties outside of the Big Two have a snowballs chance in hell of getting any official positions to speak of, so i have to default into the Republicans camp.

Why are we picking on specop when all he did was espouse a fairly common conservative pov? If I'm not mistaken, phil there is just a hair short of being a flaming racist?

You all also realize that it is an accepted argument to point to the utter misery of indian reservations and attribute that to the failure of heavily socialist gov't programs there. And these are ppl who think what the gov't's done to indians lately is horrible.

You have room in your prison for people with unpaid traffic fines !!!??? You must live in a really rich county or state. In my county they will not even prosecute property crimes or anything short of extreme felonies. Your only punishments for crimes are bad records in my county. (which really hurt economically, but criminals dont really want legit employment anyways.) Oh yeah if you get arrested on the weekend you get screwed because the people in charge of letting you out are not at work.
Oh yeha perhaps you work for a federal prison? (don't lie about stock trade or your taxes!!!)
