PeakOil is You

PeakOil is You

If MATT leaves then I think I am leaving too.

What's on your mind?
General interest discussions, not necessarily related to depletion.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')his is a very entertaining subject, but thats all it is, entertainment.

What could be more entertaining than die-offs and nuclear weapons?

I entertain you and you get upset and cranky?

You don't even believe your own posts. I feel you are not here for entertainment. No, there is another reason. Why even bother with telling us your going to leave if this is mere entertainment?

Its entertainment but like most entertainment it is a waste of time and can also be very frustrating. Its like a video game, the first time you play its fun, but by the 100th time around its a hassle. Thats how I feel about these discussions. Nobody wants to listen and agree to reason, so we have nowhere to go.

I find the suggestion that the progression through oil peak and eventual depletion will be seamless and painless as breaking wind just as daft as the notion that the world will end when oil peaks and we should learn judo, store beans and buy caves to insure our individual survival.

Not to disparage Judo, beans & caves of course...

or [smilie=5badair.gif] for that matter...
The problem is, of course, that not only is economics bankrupt, but it has always been nothing more than politics in disguise... economics is a form of brain damage.

There is no justice.

Only kidding, nice to still have some controversial thinkers around.
There'll be war, there'll be peace
But one day all things shall cease
All the iron turned to rust
All the proud men turned to dust
So all things time will mend
So this song will end
