If you want to keep track of how well wind power works bookmark this link. https://www.mygridgb.co.uk/last-28-days/
The hourly electricity generation chart near the top clearly shows the vulnerability of the UK which went all in with this crap. Gas generated power, which they conveniently hide near the very end of the list, actually generates more than any other component. And electricity imports are a big component too. They never export, they basically import from France (nuclear) but that won't last because France has it's own problems.

Gas is their Achilles heel, some of it used to come over from Russia cheap, as did 30% of their oil products, but they spurned all that. Now they are claiming Russia wants to invade them  No they want to invade Russia and steal all that resource wealth themselves. That's why they are beating the war drums, hoping all the other Euro nations will start a fight there too.

As I have said before, there is ZERO reason for Russia to invade the west. They did it as they pushed Hitler back out of their nation, they had to cross those borders then. And afterwards they held onto it because of ideological reasons that no longer exist. But was it all ideological? Or had they just had enough of the Western Europeans marching into Russia every 100 years or so? The US didn't go home either. They continued to occupy those lands they marched through, especially German lands. And set up their own long term bases, influenced the politics. And when the Berlin wall fell they took the opportunity to press East toward Russian lands, when they could have left it all alone.

The USA is the threat to World peace in this era. Enforcing their brand of freedom enslavement on the rest of world through currency manipulation and direct exploitation by US corporations. Did they incite England to sanction Russian Energy? Certainly, and now their corporations profit by exporting Oil and Gas there. Like any nation Russia has the right to protect it's borders AND it's people in other lands. The ukraine was a nothing war in the scheme of things but became the rallying cry for every Western nation dependent on Russian energy. They thought they could cripple Russia. Instead they crippled themselves and gave China and India the boon of limitless cheap energy.

Britain is broken. A twice dead former world empire.

I'd be careful with online criticism of your Crown and Holy Church Leader of your entire country. While he undoubtedly knows that his 3rd rate Commonwealth has more than its share of raging incompetent and uneducated subjects, drawing attention to yourself could lead to..you know...problems when it is your turn to service him on your knees.

Solar is the future right? It pays for itself right? It's a no-brainer, right?

U.S. residential solar on the brink of collapse
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'A') teetering U.S. residential solar industry may now be on the brink of collapse. Faced by macroeconomic challenges and shifting sands of state and federal policies, an industry once defined by double-digit growth in installations is experiencing steep declines – and the latest draft of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act makes things far worse. The latest draft of the bill is bad all-around for clean energy, but it is particularly damaging to residential solar, cutting federal tax credits far sooner than expected. Residential solar installations declined 31% in 2024. Over the last year, industry titans like SunPower, Sunnova, and Mosaic Solar have filed for bankruptcy.
https://pv-magazine-usa.com/2025/06/17/ ... -collapse/

So that's PV magazine, a website that has been cheerleading renewables for years. So when it says things are grim, believe it! Honestly, even if you took away the 50% federal subsidy the Australian government "still" pays for residential installs it would work out ok here. I'm at a loss as to why the US has so thoroughly screwed the pooch on this one?

I suspect it's because the entire nation is totally BROKE and can't buy a refrigerator less it's on a CC. This leaves you a prey to unscrupulous companies basically, which is half the problem over there. How, I ask myself, did a nation of free spirited go getters morph into a people that can't even wipe their arse without a government handout or a letter of approval from a foreign bank? It's... Pathetic.

Here is a group of rank and file yanks debating the issue.

Conspiracy: No. The value of solar equipment isn't charging. What's changing is who can benefit from it. Power companies want full control over electricity again. They know electric vehicles are coming and they want to own their fuel. Solar equipment will be purchased for commercial use. Newsom and Trump are too easily bought to do what's best for people.

Scammed: I was moved from NEM 1 to NEM 3 by SoCal Edison after 20 years and my electric bill went from $100 a year to $150 a month. I was credited $1.44 for 197 kWh sent to them last month. My solar is essentially worthless. This is what will kill residential solar.

Willingly Screwed to the wall: It makes me upset because I signed a purchase agreement earlier this year on a brand new home in California. We closed on the home in Mid to Late May. The Solar provider was forced on us (Sunnova). We paid $38k for a 5.7KW solar system (way overpriced but we weren't going to lease it), we would have gone with Tesla solar panels if given the choice. Now, Sunnova is out of business and GAF Energy has picked up their slack for our new home. Wish we could go back in time and get money back for this solar system. That amount of kilowatts shouldn't cost more than $10-15k

A Thinker? People act like the high cost of residential solar in the US is due to installers being greedy. The reason why resi solar in the US is 2-3x more expensive than Australia or Europe is not equipment costs. It's the ridiculous amount of red tape from federal/state requirements down to the local/municipal level. Solar is simple to install and safe, but it's not regulated as such.
https://www.reddit.com/r/solar/comments ... _collapse/

That last poster is probably on the mark, but what he fails to realize is that with the entire nation paying trillions in interest on it's debt, money has to be found wherever it can be. The nation was built on 50:1 and 100:1 oil. It can only be maintained with 50:1 and 100:1 oil. Kub thought Solar panels were a form of Solid oil. That was his first mistake.

In the past, you claim to have installed solar panels at your residence.

Does having solar panels make you pathetic as well? Certainly it would fit you being a "no brainer" 5X5. On top of being a high school drop out I mean, so you would be like a DOUBLE no-brainer if we counted that as well.

The cost of solar panels in Colorado (2026)
Updated Nov 7, 2025
You'll pay an average of $30,140 to install a 10.55 kilowatt (kW) solar panel system in Colorado before any available incentives.

What a joke! Mine cost around $10,000 for 10kW, and that's Australian dollars, which means it like paying $6700 over there. Little worker bee Americans be like lambs for the slaughter.

Indeed! Good thing those incentives were there! Pretty trickstery of you, pretending that the dozen PV salesmen who showed up to sell me the things on a new build would keep all those incentives to themselves! They were happy to factor them all in.

Are Australians really so stupid as to not take advantage of incentives if they are offered? I mean, just because Australians are incompetent vegemite launchers doesn't mean ALL Australians are as ignorant as you.

Winter Energy Bills Surge, Leaving American Families Struggling

Oh but Renewables Renewables!! Yes, that's what your paying for kiddies. No free lunch like Biden promised you.
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'A')s December BGE bills arrive after a cold winter, many Harford County residents say soaring energy costs are leaving them frightened and overwhelmed, according to Fox Baltimore. Jenny, who lives in a 1,000-square-foot home and keeps her thermostat in the mid-60s, is facing a bill of about $400 despite working full time and spending most of the day out of the house. "The fear of being turned off, especially with it being you some mornings in the teens, the being fearful," Jenny said. "Can I afford groceries this month, or do I pay this BGE bill and go to food pantries?"

"Nothing in my life has actually changed. I still work full time. I'm out of the house all day working, and I just think that these rates are outrageous," she added. Across town, Teresa Stepp received a bill exceeding $1,200.
https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/winte ... struggling

I suppose it's the same in freezing shitholes like Boulder. But hey, you can warm your soul by going out and looking at those nice little snow covered hills in the distance :P I spend $300 a year on hardwood, delivered, seasoned and split. But that's really just for ambiance, I could run the A/C units probably cheaper but I like a glowing fire and all that. One point though! A year or so back I hadn't lit it and woke up freezing cold, I turned on the big reverse cycle A/C unit in the living room, but after 20 minutes it stopped blowing warm air? Upon investigation I discovered the outside unit's radiator was covered in frost. That's how they work, by releasing hot air to the atmosphere in Summer, and 'cold' air in Winter. If it drops below freezing they become very inefficient because they have to spend a good percentage of their cycle warming the radiator to clear the frost.

Umm...you might have missed it, but Biden was replaced by another dementia addled old geriatric and he is more into stealing oil from other countries (as though the largest producer of oil the world has ever seen needs it).

Like, the US took over the largest oil resources in the world in an evening with a moron in charge. It is 65F here in the winter wonderland of Colorado. What surging energy bill?

Bremen Project Collapse Reveals Fragile Economics Behind Germany’s Green Hydrogen Hopes
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')he halt of EWE’s hydrogen project in Bremen, following ArcelorMittal’s decision to abandon its hydrogen transition plans, underscores a core vulnerability in Germany’s industrial decarbonization ambitions: without committed buyers and stable policy, green hydrogen infrastructure remains commercially untenable.
https://energynews.biz/bremen-project-c ... gen-hopes/

It was all built on Hopium and political posturing. Anyone with Half a brain knows Hydrogen is useless as an energy carrier, and what's more, most of it's made from natural Gas, so much for green

Germany, the smartest engineering on the planet, one of, if not the, wealthiest nation in Europe, screwed the pooch Royally.

Germany’s green energy dream turns into a NIGHTMARE: economic collapse, environmental failures and geopolitical tensions
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'G')ermany’s over reliance on intermittent renewable energy sources like wind and solar has led to an energy crisis, exacerbated by the phenomenon of Dunkelflaute (periods of no wind or sunlight)

Electricity prices in Germany are the highest in Europe, reaching €900/MWh during crises, compared to €250/MWh in nuclear-powered France.

The hasty phase-out of nuclear power in 2011 has left Germany dependent on coal, lignite and energy imports, making it the second-largest CO2 emitter per unit of energy in Europe.
https://www.newstarget.com/2025-01-04-g ... tmare.html

And what did the US do? Followed them down the same primrose path.
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'T')he term Dunkelflaute — meaning “flat, dark calm” — has become synonymous with Germany’s energy woes. These periods, characterized by a simultaneous lack of wind and sunlight, are particularly severe during winter months when energy demand peaks. On December 12, 2024, Germany’s wind and solar power production plummeted to just a fraction of its needs, highlighting the precariousness of its energy grid.

Despite renewable energy accounting for nearly 60% of Germany’s electricity production in the first half of 2024, these figures mask the reality of intermittent supply.

Again, all the data about lulls in the wind and overcast days was out there in the record, but they went ahead under that feminist Merkel. She gave them this, and a nation full of angry middle eastern refugees

Anyone who votes a woman into power votes for a puppet and deserves whatever they get.

When was the last time a German company took one of the cars they build and boosted it to Mars? So much for best engineering, how many of their space probes made it outside the Solar System? I can ask that question about the Germans because they do build some decent stuff, if I had asked it about Australia the entire site would degenerate into hysterical laugher for even thinking it.

Maybe the Germans could do bigger and cooler stuff if they talked and learned from Elon, as opposed to just making normal stuff.

I will admit in the interest of impartiality that I test drove a couple of those BMW I3 electric cars. NICE. More range than the original Leaf, very sporty feel, rear wheel drive so it hunkered down and just BOLTED like the wife's V8 Mustangs always did. Almost got it, but in the end my first Leaf was a fair amount cheaper.

I can understand going to West Africa and destroying the place for coal, but doing it in your own backyard? Just more evidence that the USofA isn't actually a nation independent, but a vassal state of English and Euro banking houses.
