I HAVE A GREAT IDEA!!

We should hand out PO pamphlets to people in the oil trading pits. Most of them will throw it out, but those that don't might take the time to read it. If the next day oil shoots up $10 a barrel, we will have won.

I think it's legal to wear signage in places you can't put signs. Just get dressed up in Peak Oil signboards and walk around.

Won what? The trading pit is always crazy, and traders make money on the swings not the barrel price. They already know there is a problem, as do most of the senate, house, and executive branch.

1. First a new idea is ridiculed.
2. Then the new idea is attacked.
3. Then the idea is said to be possible, but highly unlikely.
4. Then the mainstream experts say of course we supported the idea (peak oil) all along and anyone who says otherwise is a damm liar!

I heard this from a science prof.

Yes, the "I Told You So" award. It's the only prize to come out of this.

The reason we should do it is fairly simple. We might get on TV! If we can make the important people pay attention, we might be able to change something. I'm not sure what good that change would do us but it might cut down on the wipespread misery.

The oil market traders represent large investors and speculators generally. Both the pit traders, the investors, and the speculators all know about peak oil already.

This would not be news to them. These guys read everything. Watch what happens this Summer if you have doubts.

Pretty funny comment coming from the welsher! And originator of the ETP! Hence leading to the welshing when the world didn't end as predicted.

Mechanical engineers that decided to become computer geeks just aren't the kind of folks anyone wants doing their thinking for them, or telling them to read such thoroughly discredited websites as this one.

What happened to the HillGroup (otherwise known as the welsher pretending to be a group)? Oh wait...I know!
