$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('jato0072', '
')I had to come check in with the few people who are left. The post Peak Oil future has been an interesting multi-decade discussion. We haven't even hit the global oil production decline and things seem to be heating up across the globe.

My life could not be better. Enjoy the decline when it finally arrives in earnest. 8)

You have been believing lies. Of course production hasn't declined, because they simply fudge the terms and the numbers to make it so. The plastic bags you see in all the stores are made from liquids in Gas, useless for anything else but counted into Oil=oil+oil equivalents. The net net oil available to run our societies has been in decline for over a decade, hence all the poverty. The price is irrelevant if your wages don't keep up and temporary blips down mean nothing if the price goes back to $80 in a month or so.

The EV sphere is the same, full of lies! All the reported increase in sales are hybrid gasoline powered cars now included under the EV banner. Just like the original Prius, which we were told was a "transition vehicle" on the way to full electric. Well we've had full electric and the suckers lapped them up, but everyone else is demanding gasoline powered so they buy a hybrid not realizing the inbuilt flaw, ie: once the battery dies it's useless, it's totally gutless. In another 5 years they will be rejected as well and anyone who still has any money will be buying straight Gas powered.

And that's why the World is on the brink of war, just like 1938. Back then some leading industrial nations, Germany, Japan, were not happy that the colonial powers controlled all the oil. So they went to war to steal it off the stealers. Same today. Europe wants to steal Russia's oil and China wants to steal anyone's oil. The Americans and the Europeans desperate want to keep their greedy fingers on the oil they still control but it's slipping through their fingers like sand. I was talking to an insider today from one of Australia's largest military bases and US nukes are moving around, getting tucked away in obscure places. These are air-launched packages for strictly local targets North of the country. I'll leave it your imagination to guess which nation is the presumed threat. The Russians are very predictable. They step back and back for a while then conduct a scorched earth policy. I think they have enough civilian bunkers to go ahead now. N-America will be a wasteland. Russia already is, most of the vast region is unpopulated and not targeted hahaha.

The only thing that could prevent the coming war would be some radical one world government that even Russia China and N-Korea, Iran etc would be happy to join. I wouldn't hold my breath.

2021 According to Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations, in the event of a nuclear attack on Moscow, there is space in underground facilities for all of the population. While this is a very bold claim, Moscow is famous for the massive amount of bunkers it has available for Civil Defense

That's from a two minute search. America has nothing, their citizens are sitting ducks!

In that case Jay Hanson of DieOff dot org fame will be proven correct. He predicted nuclear war would kick off right about now.

Somehow I don't buy to opinions that nuclear war is coming soon.
Rather poverty and ruin of West and some stabilization of China but not much further economic progress.
They have no balls to start nuclear war because command and control centers, eg places where elites responsible for war would hide are perhaps highest on a target lists - and they know it.

But what if they don't start it, what is Pakistan does by launching at India, or Israel launches, or perhaps Iran gets one/has one and starts the ball rolling. Once the bombs start going off anything is possible. Certainly all nuclear forces on the Planet will be at DEFCON-1 and mistakes/opportunities happen. I think it's a real possibility, at what odds though, who can gauge. But I don't dismiss it just because I don't like the idea. I think most people that dismiss it out of hand are the ones most at risk, like the people who live right below a dam wall dismiss the dangers while others 10 miles down stream are concerned. Certainly most Americans dismiss the idea and yet they are the prime target on earth. There will never be a ground war fought there.
