Even people who speak the same language, may use that language in very specific regional ways, unfamiliar to folks from different regions.
So that expressions in a common language might be totally unfamiliar to some speakers of that language.
We have lots of colloquial euphemisms here in Texas, which are unique to the state, despite being American English.
For example... how many people here know what "tump" means?
For Texans, it's an instantly familiar word, used in common conversation.
What other regional word use where you live, would be Greek to the rest of us? (Excluding actual Greek of course.)
