$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('AdamB', ' ')He didn't learn, upon bumping into someone already beyond 10 years in a Nissan Leaf, not needing a battery, and still having 85%of the original range...

You're such a drone adam, you'll buy anything if the media tells you it's *the future*
I have laptops of that age too, fine to use unplugged if you only want 20 minutes of run time. Basically your Leafs are throw aways now adam my dear, good for a trip to the mall and back, but ready for the junkyard. My 2008 V6 with 140k on the clock though is just getting started, and since it's a premier Japanese make it hasn't need any repairs, just a yearly oil change I do myself for less than $100. It needs tires of course, but not as often as an EV because they really chew through them because they are typically so heavy.
Other cars similar to mine, American imports for example, are tragic affairs for the owners. If yanks ever knew how to build good cars they have long forgotten. It's time they wound up those industries and let the Asians fill the yards, but being " AMERICA" they have to pretend they still make the best stuff on the planet. Well they don't. It's all inferior now, from their rocket ships to their cordless hand tools. Just junk. Out where I am there are a lot of V8 4x4, nearly always the cashed up farmers buy the Toyota Land Cruiser, it's the reliable one. But the lifestyle property drones from the city buy the American RAM, GMC and the Ford F250 etc. Overpriced maintenance heavy junk.

Junk.

While some sources indicate a lower reliability rating for full-size SUVs in general, the Land Cruiser consistently receives high praise for its longevity and durability
