My view is that abortion relates to right of way. I see every human being as equal. Almost the only thing governing them is the law. The law is how we decide who goes first. Not everybody can go at the same time. Not everybody can go at once. Setting about to do something, finding a purpose and pursuing it, may or may not be affected by the law. Right of way is more basic than the law, and it applies to all those who have standing. Since I consider all people have standing, even the unborn, then it applies to abortion. But the unborn do not have right of way over their mothers. They, unless planned for, are interlopers. Right of way is, however, also transferable. It can be transferred by surrendering it. That can happen with an unborn child because the mother loves it, or has been convinced to act against her own interests by some outsider. There must be some reasonable point where a fetus is considered viable in the womb, and having received some sort of easement to continue through some sort of inaction by the mother. For me, that's about the third trimester. But there are those cases where things happen, like an unexpected deformity in the unborn child or a threat to the life of the mother. Those kinds of things speak to right of way as well.
