I believe it should be clear forever. Keep close to your doc and good luck! I think all eye surgery is a bit dicey, but with cataracts, your only other choice is eventuial blindness, not fun! I wish you the best of luck!

Thanks, PhilBiker. Keeping close to my doc is going to mean getting a passport, I guess. What crazy nonsense is it that I will have to get a passport just so I can go to TJ! Regarding the acrylic lenses, it has been my understanding that the finest grades of acrylic will last a long long time. Somebody mentioned to me the notion that the body's immune functions would degrade the acrylic. I don't think its anything to worry about. Now what I need to see is if there are any quick easy ways to zap these floaters in my eyes. They are not threatening, but very annoying.

Just took the bandage off of the left eye cataract surgery and, man, I'm stoked! The lens gives me distance clarity as the right one I had done three weeks ago gave me close-up clarity. Now with the 3-D apparatus intact the monitor and my illuminated keyboard jump out at me. How sweet it is.

Was talking to Dr. Rodriguez about the results of the lens he put together for me and put into my left eye. Nice results. The doctor is quick, affable, flawless English. We talked about peak oil, or code: coming energy crisis. Dr Rodriguez said, 'yes, there are signs already'.

Wait you go to Mexico for eye surgery? How much is transport cost? I assume it is still worth because you went back right?

It costs me about ten bucks in cab fares plus driving my own car down to San Ysidro, just a few bucks there. Of course I have done this many times now and it adds up.
