$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Wildwell', ''')Cars are not the problem, it's over population'.
You might be right on the money Wildwell .... check this out
IT'S NOT MULTINATIONAL CORPORATIONS CAUSING THE PROBLEM Overpopulation and environmental degradation occur in many areas of the world where there is little or no influences by multinational corporations. Some of the poorest countries of the world have no natural resources, Somalia, Ethiopia, Bangladesh. Here, populations have exceeded carrying capacities for thousands of years. from
this siteSo if they had exceeded their carrying capacity for years ... why not a crash?
Anyway the rest of that web site has more interesting suggestions.
But when people are asked to conserve they point out that the overpopulation of others is causing the problems not their behaviour, and it is the "natural law" that people should consume as much they can
As a demented moron wrote in another online forum:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'I') think this is great. The fewer of us there are, the more luxurious we can live. It's hard to split the earth over 6 billion people and end up with a nice slice, but what about 3 billion? Think of how awesome that would be. We could drive boat cars for longer,
we could abuse the environment twice as hard before getting the same effect. Surplus amounts of food would be insane in well off countries like Canada and the US (which already have a large food surplus).
