And yes, living in the US, where after 50+ years of the "war on poverty", with liberals calling for more wealth transfer programs than ever (before COVID-19 hit), I'm being sarcastic re government magically ending poverty, even if it spends endless $trillions claiming to.
And yet its the opposite. Since at least Reagan the war has been more like the war on the poor. As the economic-legal landscape has ever more accomodated the rich owners at the expense of the working class. Product of the total capture of the levers of power by the monied interests. And the only reason your denier ilk can even mount any coherent argument against this reality is all the bull the captured big Media has spewed over the years
