PeakOil is You

Dear forum and PO people: I have to leave you all

What's on your mind?
General interest discussions, not necessarily related to depletion.

Hey Lorenzo,

Given the high resourcefulness of most of us here, I really would like to ask you to reconsider at least one thing : reveal the name of your disease. For what its worth, it'll either generate a whole shitload of materials against it, or at least a sizeable amount of prayers and well-wishes.

What matters most (to me anyways) is that there's one like you who's PO-aware. That's tons of value more than one who's not.

Get well soon. There may be an occasional humour thread (e.g. toilet paper) which could possibly cheer you up if you drop by once in awhile.
regards,
Rostov

Very sad news,Lorenzo. Your feints and ad absurdums made me smile many times when my head was pounding from duller debates. A heartfelt godspeed to recovery ,my friend. We all await the return of PO's Pantagruel.

Now come on Lorenzo, you're not done yet. Send me a PM and I will dowse a solution for you (my pendulum is an excellent tool for getting a second opinion). For instance if you have the choice between various medical procedures I can give you aproximate success rates. I don't need to know any details ! Just make sure that the questions that you ask can be answered by a clear "yes or no" and if not applicable than indicate that you look for a percentage.

I am pretty good at dowsing meanwhile. If any other readers have their doubts that such a thing could be true send me a PM with a question that follows the guidlines above Y/N or % . (I do not need to know any context! Any question that you can relate to personally, no future questions please, this is not fortune telling!

A simple test message where you know the answer could be: I have a question on my mind that can be answered with a clear yes or no (true or false). What is the correct answer?

Note:
1. Allow a small error margin - I am not the Allmighty!
2. Please no questions on this thread, only private messages at this time. If enough data has been collected it might want to be discussed here, but certainly not at this initial stage.

Lorenzo,

I hope you're joking or trying to find out if people here will miss you.

If that's not the case, I wish you the best of luck.

You'll be back! :) Don't take too long kicking the disease's ass back to where it came from. Just you wait, in a few weeks, you will be back in full force. Then you can bash America, I can bash you, you can bash me, and we'll both bash the federalies! Don't be gone too long, ya hear?

Best of luck. Don't give up hope. Miracles happen every day. Keep fighting, keep positive and stay in control of your treatment.

Hey Lorenzo,

Don't ever believe, and certainly don't leave here, even for a little while, thinking that there's anything you have done that has offended anyone. Nothing could be farther from the truth. You're thoughts, suggestions, your many posts, have added tremendously, and we greatly appreciate it and will miss you. I will miss you.

Let us know if there is anything you need or anything I or anyone else can do for you. I, and I'm sure many others, will all be glad to help. All you have to do is ask. We may not be able to solve all the world's problems, but we can surely make a difference in the life of someone we all care about - and that person is you.

Please post an address where people can write to stay in touch.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('lorenzo', 'H')i all, I've had some of the best times of my life, here on the PO forum. Your enthusiasm and spirit is great, and it's something we need more in this world.

Sadly, I have to leave you for a while. I have been diagnosed with quite a scary disease, and I'm not sure if I will ever see you again. Soon, I will be spending a lot of time in hospitals, and it will be very difficult for me to participate in the debates on this forum.

I wish to thank you all for your fine thoughts, they broadened my views on many topics. To all those who I may have offended while participating on the forum: my sincere apologies.

Hoping to see you again in the (uncertain) future, I must say goodbye, and thanks again,

Yours, Lorenzo.

I did disagree with alot of your postings but that's what this forum is about, so thank you for your efforts. You never offended me.

Good luck with your treatments.
