$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', 'O')ne thing that's very striking about American youth: they are far more accepting of gays than their parents. Earlier generations would never pretend to be gay to get out of the military; the social stigma was too great. I don't think that's true of kids today.
My son is 18 and several months ago I asked him what he would do if the PTB started up the draft. He looked me straight in the eye and said "me and Steve, (his best freind) are going to go down to the draft board and tell them that we don't mind being drafted, but that we hope we can serve in the same unit together beause we're engaged."
He went on to tell me that most of the other kids his age planned to claim to be gay to dodge the draft. It should be interesting to see what happens if a large percentage of potential draftees attempt this dodge.
