A tragedy from water shortage

This is just a local happening and it was in our paper, just as another story to most readers, but for those of us who know more from behind the scences it is... I do not know how to explain the feeling..but here goes the behind the scene story
A freind of mine works for the water treatment plant and if anything goes wrong(ie; the power goes off due to storms or techincle difficullties) an alarm will sound and should no one at the plant respond because of after hours, the automatic system clicks in.
Well it starts to call telephone numbers and it continues down a list until someone picks up their telephone and should no one answer it starts all over again.
NOW..at the water plant they have reduced pressure to the water because of restrictions...
WEll on Tuesday night there was a house fire(we live in a community of ten thousand) the automatic system clicked in and from what the papers say the fire started at midnight and it took them until 2 in the morning to get it under control and 6am till it was totally out.
What the papers could not say was that who did they finally get ahold of to turn the pressure back up and at what time..was not my freind he was unavailable and checked his messages on cell phone and they started calling at midnight he is at top of the list..
Two elderly people died in this house fire..
Just the small things that make you realize how precious water is to all of us...Prayers go out to the family that lost these dear love ones.

If you’ve ever needed a reason to store extra food and water, this just might be it. Cape Town, South Africa is on schedule to run out of water in less than 95 days, and when they do, the government will turn off the taps. “There are only 95 days left before we reach Day Zero,” the City of Cape Town announced on January 15 in a statement. “Day Zero has moved a day closer this week to April 21, 2018. Day Zero is when the City will be forced to turn off most of the taps.” The coastal South African city has been battling droughts for nearly three years, amounting to the worst one in their history. With little rain on the horizon, the city has now ordered its 3.7 million residents to drastically cut their water consumption, take short stop-start showers, not wash their cars, and

Cape Town, South Africa is set to run out of water by April 12, 2018, sooner than previous predictions. Andrea Willmore/Shutterstock Cape Town, South Africa has moved up its predictions for when the city will run out of water, with officials now saying they'll likely have to shut off the taps in early April. The city is urging people not to shower for more than a minute or two, but politicians say water usage in the city is up lately, not down. They're worried about "anarchy" if "Day Zero" arrives. Cape Town is officially on track to turn off the faucets earlier than anyone predicted. Breweries that normally bottle beer are switching to spring water, and private hotels are rushing to bring pricey desalination plants online as the city struggles — in vain — to get

Who will drink the last glass of water in Cape Town?

Because Cape Town sits between picturesque beaches and mountains, it is a favored travel destination. And, its weather during the summer is described as "almost too perfect." That's in part because it rains very little in the summer in this second most populous city in South Africa. Water, water everywhere, but not a drop to drink Trouble is, starting in 2015 the rainy season never arrived. One year, then two years and now three years of extreme drought have brought the city's water supplies almost to exhaustion. Barring extraordinary rains or even more draconian cutbacks in water usage than have already occurred, Cape Town officials say they will have to turn off water to most household taps and businesses sometime in April. They're calling it "Day Zero." Hospitals and essential public facilities will be exempt. Most residents would have t
