The internet saves a lot of wasted time. Want to know how to program a key fob for a 1997 Park Avenue? There is a youtube video or instructions on it. Got green mold growing on your siding? There is a solution out there for that too.

Information is priceless.

I have been a little slow to adopt all the conveniences. I stubbornly still write out checks for bills. Auto-pay from my checking account doesn't feel right to me. But my daughter has no issue with it and does all her bills by auto-pay.

Like KJ I'm not tied to my phone and turn it off when I feel like it or simply don't answer it. But I do like the internet with all its twists and turns.

It seems to me the Internet, technology etc. in the final analysis is just an extension of what we are and what we choose to do. However , in so much as the virtual world is an artificial construct, it tends to continue even more to allow people to be disconnected from the real world and that is the last thing we should want people at this time to be.
