$2.49 recently in central KY, and I filled up for that two days ago.
Given the track record of the perma-doomer blogs, I wouldn't bet a fast crash doomer's money on their predictions.

Filled up the wifey-mobile for $0.05/kWh last night for her 6 mile commute today...so that cost us about ( 4 miles/kWh, so....) $0.075!
No wonder us eco-friendly types just don't care what gasoline costs! And then she had like plenty more juice in the battery to go to the grocery and get some fixin's for pasta for dinner! Woo Hoo!

How much of the cost is tax? Be certain to include state, county, federal. In my statee the tax is going up today by six ents a gallon. Dam trump anyway he is ruining everything, Right?

Probably around 25% on the electricity used for fuel in the wife's car.

Trump hasn't ruined anything yet, he isn't President. And perhaps taxes on CO2 emitting fuels should be raised by more than six cents a gallon, I am an advocate for $8.00/gal gasoline to encourage others to help save the planet along with the current fleet of EV drivers.

I filled up about a month ago and wont need to fill up for another month or 2
