Interesting. I only have one Metallica LP. I still need to digitalize the album. I also have one of their very old VHS recordings.

AD: You might like this one if you like Metallica.

As I mentioned above, I'm going to check out Todd Rundgren next month in Austin. I wonder if he might play this one:

Heavy Metal Kids:

It's also has a war-related theme.
Lyrics:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '&')quot;Heavy Metal Kids"

It's like a normal times square day on 42nd street
I feel like trashing some windows and crunching some feet
I watch society crumble and I just laugh (hee hee)
They soon will see what it's like to be the other half

But I'm trying
Said I'm trying to forget
And it ain't happened yet

I musta woke up this morning with a bug up my ass
I think I'll just haul off and belt the next jerk that I pass
My old man says I'm just a stoned little punk
But he keeps himself a pistol and he's always drunk

I know
Something's gonna give

Pretty soon
I know it
Something's gonna give
I wanna live
I wanna mess thing whole world around
Go on and poison all the water, use up all the air
Blow your stupid heads off, see if I could care
Put me down but don't blame me for what you did
'cause inside everyone is a heavy metal kid

I was a sweet little kid once
Now I'm a full grown crank
And when I die I'll probably come back as a sherman tank
I know that I could make this world so peaceful and calm
If I could only get my hands on a hydrogen bomb

The live concerts I saw last year were YES in San Antonio during the summer (without Chris Squire-RIP) with Toto opening for them, and then the Trans Siberian Orchestra in December in Austin.
There’s a strange irony related to this subject [oil and gas extraction] that the better you do the job at exploiting this oil and gas, the sooner it is gone.

PO

Cheers bro. My llady lives in Florida and yeah, will have to get to see some of the old greats when next I do the circuit with her. We had the Eagles over here in Christchurch last year...missed that one though....which has been to my enduring disappointment.

I'm interested if anyone here has ever seen or heard of Estas Tonne before. Solo guitar, most often a street performer, but talented beyond comprehension! I've seen where Estas describes his music as a form of meditation. Incredibly complicated melodies, and seamless transitions between chaos and soft, subtle melodies. I'm not even sure what genre of music his style falls under, but i love the way this guy plays the guitar. Give this a view, and let me know what you think. Definitely different, but in a very good way.
