$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('dinopello', 'T')he Who were great, as were/are the Stones, Zeppelin, and of course the Beatles and others. All really talented and I still listen to them quite a bit. I do feel a little sorry for my friends that
only listen to what we had in high school though as the music scene has only gotten better even as it has become very different. An artist has direct access to the masses now much more so than in the 50's - 90's where you had to be pushed through the radio system which was very limiting.
And, that's really only speaking of rock and roll. So many great musicians in all sorts of genres out there.
I love almost any music if it's live. The big arena events are quite an experience but watching musicians make music when they are a few feet in front of you is still the best for me.
Our local girl, Erin plays often at the bar that is right down the street. It's always a good show and the next one is in May - I'll be there!
Music is a great relaxant, especially in my job where you are constantly on a tosterone high. There is so much of good stuff out there today and as you said, a lot more accessible. A good pub gig is one for sure. I get mine off youtube when working but I would for sure enjoy a few beers with this chick in the background. Cheers.
